on a summer evening in 1969 at an outdoor music venue, closing his show with "The Thrill Is Gone" is a wonderful memory and transformed me into a lover of the blues. A great blues man and human being.
1978 at the providence civic centre he was the opening act for Clapton on the "cocaine" tour I was too young to realize that I'd never see him live again. He rocked the house ( was in his 60's ) and no one enjoyed it more than Clapton...mentioned him and Lucille many times throughout his show
