Troubles When Traveling

I find the most trouble with scheduling when I travel. For instance, I was traveling states away to get to Chicago, I was coming on a particular date due to a guy wanting to see me for an outcall. On my layover flight to Chicago I received a message from the guy saying he had to work late and he wasnt for sure what time he would be done so he needed to cancel. Oh and that he's "sorry he wasted my time." And there you go, I lost out on money for the flight which maybe I could have come a day or two later and saved, my hotel cost, and now its almost nearly impossible to try to make up the cost of an appt lost at the last min and while in the middle of also traveling. Then some guys are not so comfortable with sending deposits to cover if the guy doesnt show. We as providers can sometimes take a really big lost on donations and time when a guy just cancels and makes it seem like its no big deal. You have to go into the mindset that this is like no other business. As Ive been told before "it takes money to make money."

For Providers, do you experience scheduling difficulties in that clients switch around times too often and don't respect your business needs to maintain already agreed upon days/times?  I have always done what the woman wanted and I adjusted accordingly for her best needs.  Are most clients respectable of that and accommodating?

at the requested change time, but generally I do not have this problem too often. Most guys know I cannot just flip things around because I do have several other things to consider, but when I am touring it's really not all that big of a deal. I make sure what I need to do personally is done by 8 am, then I can plan my hobbying around that. Very few cancelations, but when that happens I do have a rule not to book with anyone again who cancels unless a deposit is paid. Once, sure... things happen, but more than that is a pattern of being either unreliable or simply having a job that calls them out last minute. I do understand those things, but I am also running a business so it's probably not a good idea to book with someone who can't make a meeting.
