What do you guys think if we set up a meet and greet? I personally think it's a bad idea, but I've heard others have done it.

The Erotic Review has an entire discussion board reserved for Meet and Greets.
Low-level meet and greets probably take place in the Minneapolis area on an informal basis.
As far as the "we" aspect, a meet and greet effort would be more of a "you" initiative.
Note: Meet and Greets were a hallmark of the "My Fast Pass" experience. The hobby scene in the Minneapolis area will never quite be the same after its passing. If my memory serves me correctly, enticing providers to attend meet and greets was always challenging. Good Luck!
...and openly promote them. It's somewhat surprising that it doesn't happen in Minnesota since it's such an active and relatively close board. I don't think it's a horrible idea at all, but I'm definitely not an organizer who'd be willing to put one together.
There was one in town a few years back in which I had the pleasure to attend. It was fun and a good way to make some contacts without having to be screened by all whom you might meet. I also feel that it is a little more risky as it has been noted before, LE probably watches these pages. But, it was all in good fun and no one did anything questionable. Maybe someone good at organizing could do it again.
I've done many gathering and have anywhere from a few to 100 guests. If I was to do this, I would be the first to show up and last to leave. I don't even want someone to know what car I drive.
I'll be happy to give you a few names on who to invite...as well as who not to invite...but I think we're probably on the same page on both lol.
Likely I'd not go as I also value my privacy and some 'less than savory' members might sneak in....no names here.
