END OF MESSAGE

I guess I do understand but get a little frustrated when I get cancels by reputable Iadies after plans are made. I know there are legit reasons, being under the weather, an unexpected visit from Aunt Flo, or even just day to day life stuff. I'm ok with that. But sometime, after booking, "gotta cancel" or no response to my confirmation call is a drag.

Shit happens ok, but are Indys less reliable?  I respect a women and her time and I appreciate the same. I really look forward to the appointment OR I WOULDN'T MAKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. LOL!

Maybe I want 1 hr and someone else offers a multi hour date?
Maybe I've only seen someone once or twice and a regular bumps my time slot? Is this normal? Am I wrong? Life ain't always fair, understood, but ...

Perhaps I've set my expectations too high,  but many of the cancels are from women who write to me saying they enjoyed our time together and look forward to our next meeting and/or that they're available this week, etc. if I am. Of course, I like to hear that.

I guess I'm too complicated. I can figure out a Chinese crossword puzzle, but sometime the simple things baffle me. LOL

I'm here to have as much mutual fun as humanly and financially possible, but not here to create drama, learn and make friends through healthy living. For me, sex and a good time are at the top of my food chain.

Itkeeps you young at heart ... the pleasure principle. Ciao!

As I'm trying to shorten my wordy OP,  I get a text from one of the most enthralling indy beauties about her availability today. Too late and too far awsy, we make tentative plans for next werk. As I type this an hour later, she texts another sweet reply.

Instant karma's gonna get me ...

I dont dabble in the hobby too much any more, but the only cancellations i have ever had is with indy's.  Combine with the added hassle of verification that would make the NSA blush, I think I am going to spend a bit more time with agency girls.

stuff does come up.. I have also come to the conclusion that many girls live in a chaotic environment and may not organize their life like others.. Nothing wrong with that.. but that is simply my observation..

An agency will make darn sure their girls are where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be there.. the down side is that an agency takes a pretty healthy cut and you can't blame a girl for looking at what she is doing for a certain amount of dollars and figuring out that if she was an indie she would get that much more dollars and she could control her schedule and control who she sees..

One independent who lived 3 hours away from me.. that I would see when I was in her area on business.. consistently would schedule me at 2 PM .. I would call then she would ask if we could move it to 5 PM as she had been napping.. I was 3 hrs away from home and now I was delayed for 3 hrs..  Finally I just couldn't deal with it anymore.. and she lost a good client..

I have shown up for a scheduled appointment and no answer. always the excuse.. My phone went dead sorry.. yea right..it happens..

Is you got bumped- book an hour, and then she gets a 2 or 3 hour booking with another hobbyist-

I don't believe for a minute that you can figure out a Chinese crossword puzzle. lol

As for your actual point, since I book almost exclusively short notice, (usually same day) appointments, I don't run into many cancellations, but they do happen. I would have to say one advantage about an agency is that if your scheduled lady has an issue that keeps her from keeping her appointment with you, any decent sized agency can usually book a replacement girl for you, with your approval of course

I can appreciate how frustrating it is to set up an appointment and then they cancel . Things do come up. I have never had a trip to Boston or NYC where I have not had to deal with a last minute same day cancellation. I have to suck it up and smile. I don't charge a cancellation fee like some ladies and agencies do. When a girl cancels on a guy that is an inconvenience.  When a guy cancels on a girl it costs her money.

My friend Anisa Deleon in NYC and she has had to deal with 3 last minute cancelations . She had an 11am at 9:45 am she got an email that the client who booked a two hour appointment could not make it. She had no chance to try to reschedule she lost money. But she did not whine like some of the guys here. Life happens. if a girl or a guy for that matter turn out to be habitual cancellers (if that is a word) just don't book with them

Just my two cents

I understand that things come up and appointments need to be cancelled but I am getting really tired of the double standard that exists.   We are constantly told that providers have to do such things as double book because of the bad clients that cancel last minute try to renegotiate terms etc.

I think that a lot of Providers bank on us being Gentlemen and just having to deal with it.

Sadly I think our only recourse is to share info amongst ourselves and don't see a provider if there is a history of cancelling or other non professional behavior.

You obviously understand this well. I met a provider one night this blizzard season past that cancelled on me two or three times prior to that evening. I went out at 10, saved her day, as she had several cancels. When I showed up, she offered to reduce the fee to which
I replied I would give her "her rate". Had a great time but still get cancels from her. I'm not gonna name names, won't use an alias,
but it seems this happens occasionally.
Perhaps there have been times when I was someones favorite fuck buddy that I got the appointment and someone else was bumped. Either way ... ?

I'm pretty new to this, but in my short experience I'm surprised by how many last minute cancellations I see, specifically the day-of kind.  Several providers that have done it to me, I've rebooked with for a later date and then they've done it to me again, so I think its just part of the way they run their affairs.  I've also noticed that it occurs more often with the top rated providers ... my batting average with actually getting to see a 9+ rated provider is probably close to 50-60%.  I've had much better success with 8-9 rated providers - where success rates seem to be closer to 90%.   I don't know whether this is just coincidence, but I suspect not.  Finally, I would say that its not a NE thing as I've had similar results when I travel.  It used to bother me the first few times it happened but now I just see it as something you have to get used to as part of the hobby.  I will add that I use this as part of my criteria for deciding whether I want to rebook -- I think good communication and reliability are big pluses and if these are lacking it's probably better to just move on

Several have been stated by posters to the thread.
I tend toward the context that many independent providers do this in conjunction with real life.  That life might include jobs, family, etc.  When it is an adjunct to real life it needs to blend in to financial needs (a longer booking), family crisis, work related issues, ECT.
I have had providers that grandfathered me in on long ago rates and our agreement was that when they got a better offer they should take it.
I have had providers who were cancelling their schedule for the day due to illness (I was not part of the schedule) and I have brought them over the counter meds for the issue.
I think of this hobby as just that.  It is a joy and sometimes things come up on both sides.  Yes I have been canceled on.  Yes it might disrupt the day, but it does not make me less inclined to see attractive women and …………..

PS I do not know agency providers so this is not meant as to differentiate with their lives
