The problem I have PC crap like this is it assumes those minorities who might be offended have no voice and are unable to stick up for themselves. I sickens me to see such voices jump on the bandwagon of being his brothers keeper, or japs keeper in this instance, as though it is their duty to control the thoughts of others, especially something as innocent as a playful handle on a site such as this. You spend entirely too much time being offended, forget it, it's none of your business and rightfully should not be.

I wrote you guys about this months ago, but got no response, but I'm really offended by the guy who uses "hornyjap" as his name. I don't think racial slurs have any place on TER. They just make others think it's OK to say these words, and they're not, whether they're of that race or not.
Wrong - a racial slur need be directed at a person or group to be considered such IMO. I have not problem with this japanese

As I said before, that's not the point. Would you allow hornynigger? It's the same thing and whether the person's of that race and think it's hip or not- but especially if they're not of that race- it's offensive because of the way it's been used to hurt those minority groups.
If I was Italian and called myself "hornywop", that's my business, and unless (1) I directed the epithet at you directly, and (2) you were also Italian and therefore an actual target of such a racial slur, you have no grounds (other than your own personal view of such things) to be upset. That certainly is not enough for you to go off telling others what they can and can't use for a handle.
Seems like you are the only one complaining about this person's handle, and the general membership is making it pretty plain that your view of such things is way too narrow and PC. In short, here's a buck - get a life.

try to stand up and speak for ourselves: White men tell us we're too sensitive, that we can't take a joke, ad infinitum. Because there's no real slur against white people that really hurts, you can't possibly understand the weight of slurs against people of color. You can only argue about these things in philosophical levels of politically correct, etc., which is usually an excuse to continue to be insensitive against people who've been victims of racism for centuries. You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
As always, a discussion of race always becomes hostile. I was trying to bring some sensitivity to this place, but I guess I should've known better.
And I do not appreciate you throwing "japs" around so casually. It's indicative of your attitude to begin with. Do you use that term in public? Seemed to roll off your tongue pretty easily...
but I doubt that is the reason he is here. Look, I see it as harmles, you see it a different way...your supposed to be here looking into getting laid rather than preaching sensitivity over a funny name in playland. Give it a break! As for you other comments, you could not be further from the truth - read David Horowitz and you'll get my drift!!!

Imemine, if you are not white, how can you say that there are no real slurs that hurt? LOL. That is the same thing as me saying, quit being so sensitive. Whitey, redneck, honkey, white trash, nazi, pancake, etc... there are many. I believe this is called hypocracy on your part. Also, how can something roll easily off of your tongue in a text message? BTW, my wife is half jap and we regularly use that shortened version of the word Japanese.
And I do believe that if Hornyjap is Japanese, he has every right to call himself that. Get over it and grow some thicker skin, you will be happier.
