seems like they partied appropriately long and hard back in those days and Wildwest for the women were women and the men were men etiquette mattered arrogance wasn't running so extreme wouldn't want to live in those days however sounds good coming from a book I'm sure and as I see it in the movies looks interesting I would rather live today and then media has made it a lot easier to fin mates lol.I don't think I have read a book in my life . I usually have my computer read it to me

Found this and just had to share, AND yes I ordered the book

"I'm in the middle of reading a book about one of the most successful prostitutes and madams in the American West (early to mid-20th century). They had special bottles of colored water for the girls when customers bought them shots. Some things never change."
Edit: "The book is called 'Madam Millie' and I am enjoying it, though the subject matter and story are in some ways better than the writing, which takes a pretty conversational tone. But if you're under the impression your grandparents didn't party, this will set you straight pretty quickly. Sometime in the 1920's: "After a few courageous toasts, Millie picked up and ordered everyone over to the largest house: the one with eighteen rooms, three parlors, and Millie's apartment. She grandly announced to the ranchers, politicians, miners, and businessmen that the pussy and booze was on the house until daylight. She'd pay for the girls herself. Such a yell went up from all that it is a wonder mountains didn't crumble in on Silver City and bury it forever." I picked the book up at the Singing Wind Bookshop, whose amazing 84 year old owner strongly implied that the author had at one time been a client of Millie's himself."

'Madam Millie' is available on Amazon
