So there's this gentleman that contacted me to schedule without even checking my rates, through the exchanges emails I referred him to my website where is my updated rates, he then checked and came back to me asking why I raised my rates! At this point u answered politely that fluctuations in rates happens as it's a business and circumstances vary from time to time, my circumstances at the main time is my pregnancy, for me it's a special time and I would like to keep that for special friends who would like to share with me the joy of a growing life and breasts full of God's nectar, he flipped at this point and started calling me all names in the book and that I'm a snobbish girl that don't give time of the day for friends who can't afford me and what do I think myself Marylin Monroe? I felt bad as I don't deserve that all I've been is professional and polite! For a moment I blamed myself maybe if I just did not give him the 10 minutes of my day that I took writing him back maybe he would've respected me and moved on!
So as I'm intrigued by a lot of psychology and a books worm in that field but I still can't find any explanation of this weird reaction of his!

I don't believe this guy realizes the basic economic theory of supply and demand.
I posture, if there is high demand for pregnant women and low supply of pregnant women, an unencumbered market's price will go up.
I further posture, if a woman in demand decides she wants to see fewer men, she can raise her rates to reduce the demand.
Therefore, I conclude that this man had a rush of blood to his weapon and little to his brain. That explains his irrational behavior and his complete disregard of economic theory.
This is a disturbed individual. No regard for anyone but himself. Everybody deserves respect, especially in this world.

You wasted ten min. replying. He had a choice before his disrespect and that was to pay your rate or pass. After his diatribe he should have no option.

Hi Bianca, coming from someone that has seen you and can attest to your looks, service and professionalism, I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it. I totally understand why you would expect more now that you're pregnant, and I suppose this guy didn't want to pay what you're asking.
You're not someone that needs to make up on volume, if you're happy with the clients you're getting at your price then carry on. If someone doesn't want to pay it, there are plenty of lower price options out there.
that you can't diagnose from symptoms. You have to get to know someone to understand his character structure and the meaning of his behavior in that context. It could be any of lots of things.
So "jerk" may be vague but not inaccurate. I'd just not worry about it and walk the other way.

I am careful to post my rates on every ad so that I don't have to deal with people who want to spend less money getting angry because they think it's too much money. But, even though I post my rates I still have offers for way less than what I'm posting. I've also had people cuss me out over my rates, over my supposed lack of religion, over doing this, over not doing that...you know whenever you are online you are vulnerable to trolls. We all are. Men and women. Guys like him are what makes it so important for us to check references. Even if most guys are fine, we need to eliminate the kooks by screening everyone.
I didn't screen in the beginning. But after a couple of friends were arrested for escorting without a license, not prostitution, and at their own in call, I learned how to screen and did it diligently after that. One thing that happened was that I got rid of weirdos and no-shows.

Try not to ever take it personally when a prospective client is disrespectful to you. There's never any excuse for it and the problem is his. No matter how mean the words are or how close to home they might hit if he's trying to make you feel bad he's wrong and it's his problem.

As an example, I am a former event planner. I had one group that would only attend exclusive places with room rates starting at $395 (note starting). They wanted these places because of the class of clientele and service. I have arranged golf outings for professional athletes at private golf courses with green fees starting at $1500 for a round of golf. Tee times were scheduled so that the golfers seemed to be virtually alone on the course.
