No, no , no... Bad area to stay. On the West side of 95 the only upscale location is Four Points but the area is shady (lots of walkers). On the East side of BM used to be nice place to stay but has also gone down. Not sure how long it has been since KSK has been there but do not stay there. I have had friends in the hobby stay on BM and when some of their scheduled new friends find out they are on BM they have cancelled. Feel free to pm me to find out more if no other regular traveling providers have not filled you in yet.

If you like waterfront, stick to Downtown area.
If you're into shopping then Tapestry Park area.
You can't go wrong with the airport area as its close to shopping, tons of dining and many hotels.
My new go to spot for Hip dining and my new favorite spot is called,"Black sheep" located in the Little Five Points neighborhood...not far at all from Downtown...has a nice Miami feel and the crowd happier.
Jacksonville is low key except during Jags games.
Don't go with my opinion only because I'm from Miami and I prefer late night dinner, etc.
As always, you can always get a airbnb but because Jax is similar to the Naples crowd...your daytime hours will be prime.
