I was supposed to have a TUR, but with laser.  Found out the doc thought he'd need to convert to the old Roto Rooter method during the procedure.  No thanks.  That's when I got on the Finesteride.  It's a cousin to the med called Avodart which was heavily advertised on TV a few years ago.  It's supposed to shrink the prostate.  Hope it does because then my PSA number hopefully will gondown.  It's really helped the going to the bathroom problem, but exacerbated the other problem.  Also, my eye doctor told me if I ever need eye surgery to be sure the doc knows.  Flomax does something permanently to the body that can affect eye surgery.  So even if you quit taking it, whatever the issue is remains permanently.

As my dad once told me: Every 10 years another part of your body either quits working or falls off.  Now I get it.

I know there have been past discussions on this, but I'm seriously thinking of stopping my perscription.  Rather get up one more time during the night to pee then have an orgasm that produces nothing; other than an okay feeling.  I've tried stopping floxmax before seeing a provider and the orgasm was so intense and I ejaculated in great spasms.  Other's reactions?

My blood pressure meds were already proving to be quite challenging.  Then Flomax was added.  Had already stopped producing anything before the Flomax so I guess that med didn't do much.  Now I'm on Finesteride as well.  Mr. BVT doesn't like that one either.  Only works at about 90%.  Can't take the blue pill either.  God I just love getting old!!!  In the contest to try and stay ahead of Father Time he seems to be winning.  In fact I hear he's undefeated.

I never had realized the effects of Flomax. Got of off it a year ago after a procedure called TURP.  Basically a Roto Rooter and not longer need the Flomax. Those were the good old days. Seems like ever since it takes forever and not much ejaculate/
Thought after a period of time would get better and did but not a lot. Needed the procedure even with using the Flomax.

It's a problem. I don't usually get out a second pop but even when I can it's usually dry. Once had a provider accuse me of faking it. Very insensitive remark. Did going off the Flo help you to recover your spurt?

when I stopped taking the flomax; dry orgasm stopped.  In fact I've had a recent FBSM my orgasm was accompsnied by spurting like the old days.  Almost felt like a fire hydrant.   Felt marvelous

How soon afterward, because I am going to stop Terazosin today.

Ureteroscopy.  2 kidney stones were moderately annoying.  Believe me, proceedure was not fun at all.  But I digress.
I'd tried Flomax before & didn't like it...  but it's been 5 years & I couldn't remember what I didn't like about it.
I stuck with it 5 days this time.  I was so off balance I could not drive (or walk without support) plus tremors & painful spasms at trigger points.  Stopped last night.  Feel better already.  I was up in the night to pee anyway...  still am.

I won't try for an O until I get the stent out.  The stent fells like it's restructing Peeing.  Urologist is not my favorite guy this week.
