I have to admit, I have blown a lot more than fifty grand over a weekend in LV before, and didn't get the bragging rights that would come with this deal. Independent escorts and agencies combined with sites like this and screening sites such as p411 are killing the Nevada brothel industry.....and so the brothels have to resort to gimmicks like this. Such gimmicks may delay, but they ultimately will not prevent the demise of brothels, or at least their significant decline. I say good riddance to the brothels, as they are a huge rip-off IMHO.
It would not be so bad if they did not take 50% of girls money, nickel and dime her out of another 10% and then you have to be a prisoner there for 21 days. the only people who would do that is someone with no place to live.
I thought it might be fun to visit a brothel. A couple of years ago I contacted all of the brothels in/near Vegas. Sherri's ranch was the only one that would allow me to bring my dog with me. I asked if I could expect to make at least 2000 a week and get at least 250 per hour when my usual rate is 300. She said she didn't think I would have any problem making that much but there were some ladies who barely made anything in a week. She said only her top providers made 2000 in a week. you also had to be on call for like 12 hours each day. Each time a client arrived you would have to go to the living room and when you were on call you were supposed to hang out at the bar or in their day room and visit with people. That sounded too much like working for free. I've just gotten too used to being in control of my time all the time. I decided not to go. But it did sound like fun, kind of.
and although I don't know exactly how much she made, when she would come back after a 2-3 week work trip, she would always come home with at least twenty grand in her pocket.
Of course she was young, very cute and confided in me that she "liked the competition" Personally I haven't been to a Nevada brothel in well over thirty years, and I have no plans to ever do so again in the future.

I've been to Sheri's Ranch before and I know a few girls who currently work there. Their target audience are the Vegas whales, so the innocent newbies who don't have a clue as to how the brothel system works will always be in for sticker shock and get ripped off for big bucks.
It's a niche market for those who want/need to play legal, so I think the industry will still be around for awhile, especially if they keep generating $$$ for those rural counties where they are located. Although within the past couple of years, 3 of the rural southern NV brothels have closed ...Angel's Lady, Bikini's, and the ShadyLady, so that only leave 4 within a 1-2 hours drive from Vegas (Sheri's, Chicken Ranch, Love Ranch-Crystal, and Alien Cathouse)
