Don't blame generic PC. Blame TER Admin

I, too, remember the Wild West of early TER. It was addictive and really a shared community. Posters knew each other. The responses on the Discussion Boards were honest. Now--no criticism of a paying provider. No verbal "fist fights" on the Board. And the punishment--banishment. I was booted off the Reviewers Only Board for asking why certain regulars were hostile to transgender providers. So--it isn't general PC. It's TER Admin.

Since when the NJ board became the "casual encounters" from CL. 😜

Over a decade ago, TER was a bulletin board, particularly for NYC hobbyists and we would know each other. Admin now wants pallid, uncontroversial comments--so this is what you get. No criticism, no "edge" play. Bland

The tide comes in and goes out.
When I first joined TER the NJ Board was dominated by a few agencies that would absolutely destroy any independent that dared to try.
That went away it became a littke better but still had its Dodge City Wild West Moments.  It was entertaining but could get vicious.
TER was going through many transitions itself.
I don't know if it is a generational issue or heavy moderation but the Board has become very sterile.
My age group played hard, had fights on the playground, played cops and robbers cowboys and indians.  Every ethnic group made fun of every other ethnic group.  Now thanks to the hobby I can say I have tasted almost all of them and Love them all.
Now kids would be suspended from school. But they can kill thousands on the computer games.
This board ciuld be fun.  Just let the adults play.

Regrettable...TER was and is supposed to be a lively place where hobbyists and providers could exchange ideas, quips, and have lively banter, with moderators that kept controversy and drama in check to the extent that it was of value to the overall community, not just to the jerks who fan the flames for their own purposes.  It still is, but not perfectly so...
