Call Me

Received an email from a provider I had never seen before with "Call Me" in the subject line. The Email contained only a phone number. I answered back with "Who Are You" and got no response. Upon Googling I got specific hits about this phone number and former provider being used as an LE setup.

So now I have to wonder where they got the email address. It had to be from another provider's email as I can't think of any other way. How else could they get it? Obviously any provider I communicated with via that email account is now suspect

And delete/close that acct.

But on a similar note...
I had a text from a unknown number asking for my address today. I asked who it was and where they got my number. I got a reply ignoring all of that and asking for my address again. I blocked it fast.

Yes, I get that but what of the ladies I communicated with via that account?

It could be or someone stole a phone that's linked into there email. Or someone gave up ur info to get out of trouble

If you have signed up with that email address for any forums or boards, it is out there.  Do not assume anything you put online is private.  Do not use an email address that can be accessed by others or tracked back to your real information for hobbying.

It could be spammers or LE, etc. who just harvested your email from a website or from a providers hacked email account.
