Well, Jamamocha, welcome! You are off to a great start!

If you take the time to look around, you will find a complete glossary of terms, tons of other helpful info, and even the reason that "the folks that run this website" don't include an 'official' glossary.  The search feature can be your best friend in your quest to become more educated.  There are even threads here on how to use it!

And no, Jamamocha, I wasn't "born with my knowledge."  When I was a newbie, I took the time to read the important stuff on the Newbie board (and elsewhere).  And I never took shots at those who tried to help.

My motto - give a man a fish, and he will simply be hungry again tomorrow.  Teach a man how to fish, and he'll keep your bait shop busy and profitable.

Start with the link below (which is posted on every single page of the Newbie board, and appears here no less than forty times).  And you're welcome.  :o)

You are such an impolite pig. I am a newbie myself and do have some difficulty with all the acronyms. I have looked through the main site to see if the folks who run this website would find it useful to make a glossary of terms available ot new folks paying for membership.
I guess you were born with your knowledge, so thanks for your help.

It sometimes isn’t enough that total strangers are willing to devote their time and energy to “helping” out a newbie with Questions...…

Ghezzzz, how times have changed!!! I can actually remember a time (*not too long ago, that you didn’t have anywhere to go for any information*) hmmm how the advancement of technology has spoiled so many.

So- you impolite Pig...…  Thank you for the countless hours you spend moderating, correcting, adjusting and “helping” the newbie board. (*at least you are appreciated by a few....… and I luv ~U~*)  now take that and two quarters to the nearest pay phone and I just bet you can place a call.  Kisses ~T

Your response discredits the newbies............one of which I consider myself.

The same Newbie post appears every few days. You DID NOT review the Newbie board and check the relevant posts if you claim you cannot find the answers to the innumerable acronyms. I have been back to those lists several times. The fact that you chime in , even though it was not your post, and you haven't done any homework either only makes all of us look lazy.....and not too smart.

Not trying to "flame" too much, but driving home the point that not all Newbies think we are the first ever hobbyists. Nor are we "entitled" to the help of others

If it were me (*moderating that is*) I would have invoked  my “moderator power” and sent a few to the sidelines for a bit...… just for the hell of it and because I could *LOL*

See, reason number 44 that I am not a moderator. Besides, that very post would probably fall under the definition of a violation of:   This is a moderated forum in which flames and messages outside the forum topic will be deleted. Please do not post messages that are simply mean, or meant to cause trouble for trouble's sake...…

But would suggest you READ the boards or search them for answers to most questions as ATL MGR has pointed out....
