I've been away from the scene for the last couple of years.  Back then I was able to troll backpage and could find a decent number of girls visiting from downtown.  Now it seems like almost all the ads are people who are posting fake pics.  Are less girls visiting from out of town now?

The western suburbs? There are a lot of ladies right here on TER that are based out of or visit the O'hare area. Yes, there is a dearth of ladies in the Oak Brook area. Maybe they will speak up so we'll be aware. Its been that way for some time now. Seems many of the ladies that are based there travel a lot...

Visiting the Chicago area. I mentioned it a few times to a few of my girlfriends and most seem to say Chicago is there target city during the summer and spring months due to weather.

A lot of ladies find Chicago a difficult city to tour because lots of Chicago guys book last-minute comparatively to fellas in other parts of the country (i say that having toured other parts of the country where pre-bookings were standard).  

Ladies don't want to spend the big bucks on a hotel downtown or in the city center area and front the costs of the tour up front when the tour could end up being a bust. While in some cities, BP can be utilized to gather pre-bookings, in Chicago, it's pretty much for day-of bookings.  If you're looking for ladies who are touring, I'd suggest looking at other sites.  

Fake photos, however, are commonplace on all ad forums aside from TER, so doing your research is important no matter where you look. :)

For the very fact that it's hit or miss. In this city, building up regular clientele is so important. even the taxi drivers are super slow December - February. Winter in the Midwest is probably the worst place to tour to. Seems to me having regulars keep the cold places warm... But come April, things become grand again, all the bunnies are mating, and thumper comes thumping on the hotel doors again!!!

Maybe it's just the winter

The good new about visiting Chicago in the dead of winter is the best hotels are very inexpensive,  which means you can hole up in style and don't have to do much entertaining to make it worthwhile.  The BAD news is- yikes!!  Yes, biz is slow, and it's tough go get out and enjoy the city!!
Ah well- this too shall pass!  Chicago is always a great place to visit, regardless.

But that's because no one is in them lol! But really, I'm sure it's different for everyone. I usually have guys who book in advance in my area, so I can usually have a room ready and strategize to see a few in a couple day stretch. But it's much easier to plan that way two weeks beforehand when people are asking, as opposed to planning a tour a couple months in advance in the winter.

I've only been here two winters. This winter was much better than last. Last winter even I didn't want to go out. Yikes!

If I can get enough appointments to pay the cost of the trip, (usually two,) I go if it's a place I think I will enjoy coming back to. Then you get a few last minutes, and you're good.

And I love Chicago more than any place in the U.S. Even in the winter. So I see why someone would come here! It's not that dead, I was just trying to explain to the OP more than anyone why many may not travel,here in the winter. Dec - Feb is slow for most businesses, and discretionary spending is lower. The conferences are definitely a popular time for touring ladies. Not many conventions here now. Hopefully soon though. Ive met most of my friends I see on tours through conventions in Chicago. :-)

2 a day keeps the deb collector away...
I am studying 3-4 hours a day.
And then there is wine!!

Where is this statistics coming from? There's tons of girls, on various sites... One of my favs girls toured here recently  & because of the lack of commitment on some hobbyist on keeping appointment I doubt she will tour here again... Also she hated the the weather... Weather does effect where hobbyist will travel...
