Usually that would be at places like the Hard Rock, where they need to see your room key before entering the elevators, but some Hotels on the beach will require you to have the room key in order to go into upper levels.

If it's a client i am visiting, at times , if they are regulars, they leave the key for me at front desk, if not, they meet me at lobby.

at the hotels on Miami Beach? Planning on staying at a hotel along that area and was not sure if there was security at the elevators; as they do in Vegas. I am guessing that the 1 - 3 star hotels will have none, but what about the 4-5 star hotels. Thanks.

Usually the hotels require a card to be swiped at the elevator to open it and select a floor. If that's the case, you just meet the provider in the lobby or at the bar. It's really not a big deal.

Okay, similar to Vegas. Meet or pass provider card in lobby/bar. Thanks.
