GP's aren't qualified to diagnose skin conditions. We tend to go to them first but this is a good example of when a dermatologist should be consulted.

This sucks on multiple levels. I'm a person who lives with eczema, and I have to explain to just about anyone who notices that I'm not contagious or a risk to anyone's health. Can only imagine now how that talk is going to go with providers who have a legit reason to be skeptical.
aybe this should give you motivation to get it managed. Try using and applying sulphur butter or add hemp oil / hemp seed to your diet. I would get a doctors note. Just tell him/ her you dated a girl and she thought you were contagious or someone at your office thought you were contagious and you wish to have all your bases covered.
It's a shame it's not used in the medical field, as coconut oil is effective god things like ring worm, eczema, athletes foot, skin irritation, dryness, etc etc. Cooking with it, or even rubbing it topically has tons of benefits.
