As for waiting, it is unlikely that any driver will take more than 10 minutes to get to you. Cars will usually be right there in the area waiting to pick somebody up. I look at my app when getting my luggage to see the estimated time frame for pick up so that before I walk outside, I have an idea of how long it will take for my driver to arrive. In my experiences, the cars are usually right there in/around the pickup areas with a 2 minute wait time, so I won't order my Uber or Lyft until I'm at the designated pickup area. There are signs which will guide you to which parking level/area of garage where the car is allowed to pick you up which makes things very easy and convenient.
