It's a very slippery slope with grooming anyone's doggy though ... If it is something brand new for a gentleman poor doggy might be confined to the doghouse after.  

Offering this service to an otherwise well groomed man makes sense to me but giving him an excuse for the change is also important. It's summer and it gets hot and sweaty down south . Easy excuse to change your habits with an excuse of irritation and being uncomfortable.

As for down south...A nice trim is always a good idea.  
And I have offered assistance to those gentlemen who may not be experienced in that area. Or for those that may have difficulty reaching.

As long as the beard is soft and trimmed, it's awesome. They do make oils to soften beards up over time.
I do like a nice shaved face too. If it's rough it hurts on both of my lips

But it has to be a beard.... Not a 5 o'clock shadow lol.

I like both facial hair and clean shaven just as long as it's not really rough stubble because that can hurt sometimes.
