Hello friends, I've been pondering the last few days. These past two years, I've reconnected to my spiritual being. But more powerfully then ever before. I remember when I first got into the adult industry, I shoved anything loving and healing away. I didn't think there was room for a spiritual enlightened state of being, when it came to this kind of lifestyle. However, it created a huge void in me. It even made all the special gifts I was born with, such as music and art, unravel too. I eventually realized that it is all linked and in harmony to who I am as a whole. So I went on a spiritual journey, and it's led me back to that empty space that needed filled. And I became an aromatherapist, reiki master, shaman, medicine woman, herbalist and medium. I decided that I could never allow a spiritual void in me again, and so I've tried to incorporate my spirituality into my providing offerings. However I've not been working very much since I became spiritual. This could be because I'm out in rural western MA :) but I am curious to know from you, do you think that spirituality and the adult industry are not compatible? I obviously can not lose my new happiness of being a healer, but I'm hoping to know what is the popular opinion about seeing a provider for also a healing and spiritual experience. Thanks everyone, love Cameo

services the highest spiritual needs of society.

I know a few providers who take that point of view seriously too, and I feel spiritually uplifted (no tittering* please) when I am with them.

It is the dark forces of society who would have it be the other way and insist that P4P is base and immoral.

Congratulations on coming out into the light.

*Yes, I said tittering.  8o)

they definetly make escorting seem like a spiritual experience. I think they probly do beter because of there knowledge of the spirtual aspects of sex. and ritual.

Deep down I recognize a very powerful spirit in you, and I think that is something a lot of guys recognize too.

I do have a special gift of helping and tending too animals, It is weird because it is a passion and i am not able to sit back and NOT do anything to help. I am like driven to check all the shelter web sites and check in on if there is some way i could help.
\              My dog was being sold on craigs list years ago, the landlord wouldnt let them keep him. He was bred in a puppy mill in kansas that got graded a d, and had many dogs being reused medical treatment on site . they had i believe 400 dogs on site. For bredding, In rusty cages. some with oozing eye balls and just bad conditions,
After my dog bit me, i started digging for info on his temperment if it was perhaps from babd breeding , i had 2 pitbulls, a yorkie, a mutt, and a chuhuahua all angels!
But my dog now he is awsome but there are some tweaks in his temperment i never witnessed in my dogs before, But yes he was bred at a really shitty puppy mill so who knows how he was treated when he was born, or what he saw and endured.
I also made sure people were aware this pet store purchases dogs from a breeder that is a mill and doesnt even pass the safety laws, they got graded a d ,.
But you know like , so the mum i bought my dog off of, here she is thinkin she is doin a good thing, buyin a puppy for her little girls, And she bring home a real lemon, Not knowing they are buyin these puppies from this puppy mill with rusty cages 500 dogs, dogs with injuries on site being denied vet care.
I think my sex talent would be I can have a real orgasm with like any one and sometimes even a person i am not attracted too.
weird but i think for me that has been a talent, I have a high sex drive and can be extremely un inhibited even with a straNGER, I SUPPOSE THAT  HAS BEEN MY TALENT WITH THIS AS A JOB

I think being spiritual is very helpful. In fact i just had my baby blessed by a priest in the north end tuesday night. He is friends with my mum my mother works there. He tried to start speaking to me in italian I had no clue what he was saying,
I think having faith that some one something, powers greater than oneself,
I dont think it matters which religion, but i think it is more about the power of intention which is what prayer.
I know i love ritual and the power of intention shall we say,
I have always been extremely into spiritual matters. I was raised strict catholic so praying in times of stress, Or say praying for some one who is trying to harm you instead of trying to harm them back , Stuff like that I just think is all around good mental practices religion aside.
I do think being spritual is helpful, but i know people whom are not that are and have very very good dispositions and outlooks .
I think being a good person helps, spiritual or not, I mean my dad is passed but he never went to church but was really good person and very well liked by every one. I dont think people need to be spirtual to be good people and be the kind you want to surround yourself with, i think just being a good person is most important .

them, So long as you continue to talk about people thier memory is never truly dead, Which why i named my dog after my dad, Its like i am saying a prayer every time i call my dog to me! cool.
but  I think people having a place to direct all thier energy and organize with others and build community is also good aspect of any spirtual practices.
I tend to migrate to the new age studies most but would gladly be supportive of any one s faith if i see it is helpful to them and giving them like the song goes "something to belive in"
But i need a reiki session for the baby now that you mention, So far i only got the chance to have acatholic priest but i definetly need some  more blessings. I totally toally think that stuff is real and it works! reiki too is totally i went to a free reiki session at seven stars book store ages ago.  I love spritual topics, I am very weird because i had religion forced down my throat so i can sometimes get annoyed or rebelious toward certain ones if in the right mood, i never mean anything by it though, I do love me some jesus and mary, .hahaha. and isis astarte hecate kari and inanna. too. lol.

although I would argue that any sexual exploration where someone is present & mindful is connecting with the soul spirit, and that does not need to include any other philosophy or ritual to be "spiritual".

Also, you can still set your own intentions for your actions and sessions as a provider regardless of if a client is seeking an outwardly spiritual connection-that is not something you have to forfeit, nor does it have to be shared interest of the client IMO.  One of my MT's told me she does energy work with almost everyone she sees to some degree, even when they don't ask for it.  If she finds a block, she works on it quietly, and I have done the same thing from time to time...even during activities one might not readily think of as conventional for moving energy. :-)

Talking "spirituality" may turn some off or scare others away for the same reasons you might have struggled with early on.  It's hard for many to reconcile given how we are socialized about sex, but also "spirituality" can get lumped in with "religion", which could trigger guilt, but can also turn off those who are atheist or agnostic. So if you want to still keep your door open to a more diverse client base, consider keeping your spiritual practice more internal during sessions.  Otherwise tantra seems like it might be an option (depending on the type of spiritual practice you are drawn to).

Best of luck to you!

Being very spiritual doesn't necessarily mean being very religious which some people tend to confuse. I think that being spiritually connected and sharing that through connected awareness in the context of a sensual session is fabulous. It heightens every aspect of the session for both the provider as well as the client. You have to be true to yourself and see those that will lift you up and keep you in good company. There is a really beautiful flow to seeing someone as a whole person and enjoying all aspects of them. When you are able to share gifts of healing, tantra style sessions and the beautiful warmth and joy the comes over the whole body it is an amazing thing.
This business can create and fill empty spaces within people for various reasons and it is very important to recognize these things. Self care is essential for all providers to keep any voids in check so we don't lose our selves and connections with spirituality, and the things that fulfill us that we are passionate about. Rounding oneself out as a person keeps us happy and balanced.

Xo,
Grace

Certainly :)
