You're right.

My guess is that one of the other casinos will pony up.  We can no longer raise the room tax every time we want something.
Additionally, the casinos will be purchasing a lot of tickets for the VIPs as comps.

The rumor is that the Raiders are really going to make it to Vegas.
I can't think of a better place to move having followed them from Oakland to LA to Oakland and now Sin City.

I think it's a perfect fit.  What do you guys think?

I was a fan back living in Richmond, CA, so it's pretty awesome to see them make it to Las Vegas!.

I use to live in the bay now live in Vegas as a true Raider fan that goes back to 1970. They need to stay in Oakland they will always be the OAKLAND RAIDERS  I know that Oakland does not plan on building a new stadium and do not blame the Raiders to move them. I know Davis would love to stay in Oakland but what is he to do.  That is my thoughts on this know matter were they are they will always be the OAKLAND RAIDERS

Oakland fits the whole vibe of the Raiders & I agree it's there home. But again, it's going to be pretty awesome to have a major team here, especially the Raiders! I think Las VEGAS will offer great team support as well.. There are a lot of people in Vegas from Southern & Northern California so it a perfect in my opinion.

I lived through the Raiders while in LA, not a pleasant time although I was a huge Raider fan in the 60's and 70'S...They lost me when they came to LA. So if they come, hide the women and children....lol....and the fans from SD and LA will come. Going to the game will be a great excuse to go to Vegas..."Honey, but it's the Raiders"...yeah right.

I, too, lived through the LA Raiders.  A positive that I found was that the Raiders could pull in the support from rival gangs.

I agree, it's a good excuse to come to Vegas as there are other things to do after the game.  I don't know how many times I've flown into Oakland for a Monday night game and was stuck on Hegenberger Drive with nothing to do and nowhere to go

And there were fights "before" the game at tailgate parties. It seemed like the LA fans tried TOO hard to be hard. That's when I said, "fuck it", these aren't my Raiders. But if they come to Vegas, then I'll just as well stay home and avoid the BS that comes from "Raider Nation".

No, they aren't the greatest but there's a huge fan base here that would hate to see them go.

I am not sure about the Raiders coming here.
I do agree it will bring more visitors here to see football if they do become the Las Vegas Raiders which is always great for the local economy.Just wondering if they are going to be able to get the funding together in time to make it a reality.
No matter where they go they will always be the Oakland Raiders to me.
