So, if you can- it is always nice to tip agency girls. There are rare times that the split is a bit more fair, but I don't think the system is set up to be fair.

Not sure if been answered but was wondering what the typical split is between provider and agency.  If it is a trade secret I apologize.

Charged $70/hour per date booked. If they gave the client a discount, they still charged $70/hour booked. (Up to 4 hours.)

I paid for all of my own advertising, all of my own lodging, travel expenses, etc.

It just depends on what the deal is as far as paid expenses go.

A huge part of this business is attracting clients. I get the concept. But since I can do it myself, why would I pay someone else? They try to get you to lower your rates as well, but they don't lower theirs.

I've noticed agencies, booking assistants, marketing specialists, tour planners, etc etc are a lot more work than just doing it myself.

I've only had one assistant that didn't create a lot of work for me. Nikki. She just did her job. Never questioned me, didn't act pimpy, just a nice girl. Some girls like someone on their ass at all times, but I have learned that I don't. I'm on call for any question the booker has, and can't have my own blocks of time. I also like to do things the way I feel best fits my personality/style. I like low pressure on whether or not I take a date.

I did have a friend who asked me for a referral to someone who would be on her ass, like a drill Sargent, so I know it works for some. It can get pricey. I paid $950 one week in commission to an agency, not including my expenses. And I was exhausted. No thanks.

I like doing my own work/promoting now. Less risk that way.
