I have tried many web searches. However, I have been unable to find a site that lists those pornstars that are actively filming scenes. There are many sites ranking pornstars by popularity, which does not tell me whether I can expect to see new scenes. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

"Retired" means officially retired ... but how often do the girls un-retire when they need to pay a bill?

The Alexis Love (porn star) twitter account says, "Unofficial fan account featuring hot pics and videos of exotic pornstar Alexis Love." so I don't know if she ever a contributor. If her fans stopped posting that probably is evidence that she is no longer active ... or maybe they are just lazy or pissed off at her.
However, she does have a TER review from 2015. Everything covered; non-PSE; barely GFE.

Freeones and IAFD are long lists of hundreds of pornstars that you can search by name or other criteria and then manually determine their status as active or inactive.
Is it possible to search Twitter for "all porn stars"? Then you could sort by most recent post (still actives at the top).
What exactly or what more do you want
Twitter took it down this summer. That was a newer account that she made to replace an earlier account deleted in 2014. I used to go through a third-party site which stopped updating last December, but is still up for now. It has a very long list of porn actresses and the links to ACTIVE twitter accounts still work.
