He could use a podium, rather than more time in front of a mirror he should spend it writing and memorizing.  

An interesting story to say the least.  A lonely man, but for an inner discovery of finding temporary paid relationships all that he accepts as necessary.  

The case he makes is without prostitutes substituting for stronger longer relationships  which seemed to be less satisfying in the past, he wouldn't likely have any female or sexual relationships up to this point in his life.  What does that mean?  Possibly, love can be temporary and paid which is alright.  
A little short sighted for me since it only works as long as he has money, isn't ill or gets very old.

It's not accepted, looked down on, stigmatized but nobody ever said they had broomsticks.  At least not for flying.
