on the other hand, the effects of porn on health is a valid discussion - including such topics as desensitizing individuals to sex,  objectification of females (or males),  and  in general does porn (and are there certain extreme forms of it) that contribute negatively to relationships ?

 
as well, what are the effects on society of the from women obtaining more economic power or independence thru porn  and escorting

while the law itself seems misguided, the proliferation of porn via the internet brings up (or should point to) valid discussions/research into the ramifications of porn on health/society
