END OF MESSAGE

First and foremost, I would like to thank the gentlemen and ladies that came to my rescue a couple of months ago.  If it wasn't for you and your kind generosity and words of support, I would really be in a bad place. THANK YOU AND KISSES from the bottom of my heart.

On June 18th, I received my first chemo injection (pegylated interferon).  About 6 hours after the injection, I started getting flu-like symptoms and pain in my joints.  On June 25th I received my 2nd injection. 2 days later my muscles and joints were in so much pain you couldn't even touch me. I couldn't eat (yay looking forward to the weight loss lol) and was nauseous looking at food.  The next 5 days were the worst days of my life.  The pain was intolerable and I thought I was going to die. I was not able to function at all and by July 2nd, which was supposed to be my 3rd injection, I had to be wheelchaired into the Oncologist's office.  The doctor stated to me he has never seen anyone come into his office looking and feeling the way I did.  Literally, if I would've received the 3rd injection, I wouldn't be here typing this now.  It will probably take another 3 months for all the medicine to be out of my body.

We are going to try something they used to use before interferon. It's called GM-CSF (Leukine), and right now I'm fighting with the insurance company every step of the way.  A real pain in the butt I tell ya.

So for now, I'm looking forward to getting back into the groove of things.  Once again, THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Tara xoxo

and glad to hear things are better for you now... Keep positive thoughts and your chin up kiddo! :)

for nothing but the best for you.  Stay positive and hang in there.

... I admire  not only your determination to beat this but,
the courage to tell your friends here how it's going.

G-d bless and GOOD LUCK!!

Sounds like you have a tough fight on your hands and hope the worst is over. Chemo is poison to your body but also to Cancer. Keep looking ahead to the day when you will be done with all these treatments and healthy once more. Sending you hope for a better day to come real soon.

Hugs Haley
