Hope all are enjoying the summer~

I am an economist so being new to the hobby and that I confuse myself sometimes. I get a first hour high rate. A provider should ALWAYS ask a correct hour rate. BUT as a client that would rather spend some extra time with nice talk and normally wine on me, if I have to pay 2x the hourly or 3x the three hour I have to consider: why not just pay 2 girls the 1 hour rate (2 different times no wine no talk) OR 3 girls one hour each. I am not a fan. I understand high volume girls ( traveling especially) but why no big discount for multi hour for so called "low volume". I end up saying well I want one girl 2 hours but she charges 500 each hour I could get 5 different girls different nites for an hour each if they charge 200 each hour. Tough call

Am I out of line or what?

I'm not really sure what the object of the post question is.

1. Most ladies here offer a multi hour discount. You just need to read her web site and find out.
2. Most ladies 1 hour rate is their "base" rate, non negotiable.
3. There are not very many ladies here that offer 1 hour $200 rates. So that comparison is not a legitimate one.
4. If you are an economist, and you are trying to get "the best bang for your buck", I will tell you that appearing to be cheap is not a good way of getting along in this community.

There are many ladies here who will be happy to give you what you want at a discount for multiple hours.
But they won't be interested in someone who is going to be complaining about the cost and trying to "negotiate" a "deal".

No offense meant, just stating the way things are.

There are as many ways to enjoy this hobby as their are hobbyists and providers.  If you're not comfortable spending X amount of money for X amount of time, don't.  Like you said, you have plenty of other options.

But it's never a good idea to publicly complain about providers' rates.  It makes you look cheap and it can come across as insulting.  Most importantly, you need to understand that we run our businesses the way WE see fit.  Our bodies, our time, our business.  If you don't see the value in what we're offering, you're free to find someone whose rates are more in line with what you're looking for.

Personally, I only offer a discounted rate for dates that are 4+ hours.  I am no less enthusiastic, giving, or engaging after 1 hour... why would I charge less for identical service in the second or third hours? At four hours I offer a discounted rate because I take into account the time we'll spend on other activities (dining out, the theater, etc.).  But that's just me.  Every provider has her own way of determining her rates and no way is better than another, just different.

Most economists usually have math as a second major, and that is how we communicate. We, generally are very poor when it comes to conveying economic truisms by using soft touchy feely expressions. Haggismoffat was not insinuating anything close to being cheap. He was simply wondering why pricing theory wasn't readily visible in providers' consideration web pages. In price theory the supply curve has an upward (positive) slope as price goes up and the demand curve has a negative slope as the price rises. In Haggismoffat's question was simply trying to understand providers' logic when there is a change in demand (multiple hours) vs a a change in quantity demanded.

I too have to stop and think sometimes when people use the term cheap because many times they are referring to inexpensive but use the term "cheap".  To me a cheap product is low quality while inexpensive means that the price is below equilibrium.

I'm not sure I helped much and may have simply added to the lay person's confusion. If so, I apologize.

I agree Mr. HACC3284
Well put!

Generally speaking, men have great difficulty understanding how women think about LOTS of things....but from my experience in the hobby as well as my degree in Econ I am pretty certain of ONE THING....the ladies here have the Economics of this business figured out VERY well ;-)

This stuff shouldn't perplex an economist.

1. Most providers have multi hour discounts

2. A two hour experience with one provider is not necessarily less enjoyable than two separate one hour experiences with two different providers.

3. If somebody is loaded, they are not going to be price senestive

The situation here is like any other entertainment industry with artists.  Highly skilled performers demand and get appropriate reimbursement.  Think of the difference between an international star and an entertainer just starting out.  The star sets and gets her just reward.

I personally knew two local ladies who started out with entry level fees and are now famous international escorts.  There just is no comparison - you really are paying for her skilled time and companionship not a fungible product.

Don't think about this too much.  Find a nice lady and request the pleasure of her company and never mention her fee.

Tampa Jim - there are different markets. Just because a Toyota Corrolla is a car you do not define it in the same market at a Rolls Royce. With that said, the same economic principals apply just to a differently defined market.

If you have any further questions or comments, let me know. I'll try and be of as much assistance as possible. Economics is my living I consult for various industries.

both a Corolla and a Rolls do the same thing... Get you from point A to B... but in different style.. Whether you have $600 per hr or $200 per hr lady you are seeking the same thing... To orgasm.. The higher dollar would be hopefully an established lady..
