One of the purposes of boards like this is to inform others about issues that folks on both sides need to be aware of.

A gal was just delisted yesterday which is OK in and of itself IMHO.  Violation of TER posting rules is fairly well known...and when someone wants to create multiple handles to try and work around, that is a violation.  Generally there's enough folks here who know when a user is creating multiple handles.

However, when a posters posts are removed for reasons only TER knows, it eliminates the future use of those posts (as in using them as links later on) to warn others of irrational behavior from a former banned poster.  And quite often those banned posters tend to be allowed back on TER after some time out period.  If the "regular" members here have no way to warn newbies (or less frequent members) about that former banned members bad behavior, it tends to put the community at risk IMHO again.

Would you prefer that posts that certainly seem to be deemed dangerous behavior (by your own observations) be left up for all time....or is it better to simply bury those and pretend they never existed

This isn't about why TER does what they do...rather my interest is knowing how the community feels regarding this topic.

Quite recently there have been certain threads/posts removed for cause.  I understand those causes and am interested in how this board (as in Chicago) views whether it is in their best interests to have those types of posts removed.

I use the quote function quite frequently to remind someone of a comment they had made.  Seems to be helpful to those who have short-term memory issues.

How are you not a homophobe when you comment that you "just hate fags".   And then you comment that lesbians tend to taste sweeter...which would only mean that you've "licked fags" for comparative purposes.  How did you come up with your conclusion otherwise?

TER implemented an "ignore user" feature quite some time ago.

I'm sure if you ask a teen they'll show you how to use it.

Unfortunately you can't ignore an alias....which is why the gals have asked you (publicly) to leave them alone

I simply commented on the public posts of yours recently that were followed by gals requesting you to leave them alone.

How would you know that there are gals here that you suggest aren't asking for anyone to speak for them?  Have you been PM'ing all of these gals and asking them?

Can you please compile a list of all of those gals and PM them to me so I can confirm that you've spoken with, what hundreds of them...thousands of them.

I doubt TER cares what we think about whether her posts should remain up for the good of the community. This particular poster tried to bypass her suspension which is why her posts under the new handle were removed. She not only lost her posting privileges, she lost her reviews as well. She got a real spanking and not in the good way.

I agree that BSC posts and threats should remain up for the world to see but TER doesn't care what I think. If a post violates a rule, it's coming down. I'm positive that harassing and/or threatening someone is a violation of TER rules and since our posts are visible publicly on the net, allowing these threats to remain up would make TER look bad. Not that a fuck board looks good to the general public, lol, but there should be rules of engagement for us misdemeanor criminals.

Those didn't appear to be in any rules violation...but they were additional OP's that some dudes and gals need to be aware of.

I like what TER has done on many threads they deem to be offensive...in that they close a thread.  But leave the posts up for others to be able to read...but not reply to.

Some folks have used other software to preserve controversial threads...and have posted those, in some cases, years later when the "offender" had forgotten what they had written.  Once their memory has been refreshed...the thread tended to take a very different path.

In a world where lies and deception are such a large part of the day to day....I was just curious if others felt as I with regards to holding a poster accountable for their words.

I discovered that it's a bitch to be banned. It took years before I was allowed back. One really does appreciate what one has lost, so I'm careful now to follow the rules--I dare not mention that username. However, I do wish my posts and, especially my reviews, still remained. I'd also like to look at the IMs from that period. It's the price I pay.
