I work in Adult Film and don't really advertise with the exception of TER and P411.  I don't mind doing privates with verified screened people and have a few regular friends I have known for a long time. I get very creeped out however with Random people calling/texting esp if they saw me in public.  I would appreciate being contacted first by email or though the board of which I do participate in such as here. I like them to introduce themselves, express interest and provide forthright information so I don't have to keep asking questions and dig for info.  
I hate the text that says "are you avail ? " I am like ...."who is this ?"  That is the absolute most annoying thing ever.  
I think porn star or not every provider wants to be contacted with a email which provides detailed information to be considerered.   Random calls esp middle of night not appreciated and texts with no info not either.  So that is my opinion .

years ago- I discreetly approached some pornstars on the feature dance circuit-  wish I had asked more- back then was a lot less utr and less expensive-  met up with Kathy Willets- Anna Malle was up for it and gave me number but big regret didn't hook up, Gina Lynn was up for it but wanted same rate as agency rate which didn't seem right to me if she was booking independent, Amber Lynn was the only one that got offended even though she had an ad posted with an agency
