I'm originally from NJ/NYC the pizza better be wayyyyyy better than ours! ;P

Every area has there do's and don't s for their area. What are some key rules to being successful in Chicago? What are some places to avoid? Thanks in advance for the responses.

The travelers I see typically will split their visit between the O'Hare general area and downtown. That way, you can get a better mix of people who will want to see you. Downtown people typically don't want to fight traffic out to the airport on weekdays and O'Hare area will get a lot of travelers and suburban clients who don't want to come into the city.

Also, when you're downtown leave yourself a little time in the evening to go out and have fun. :)

...to play tourist, and visit museums, the aquarium, etc.  Also, if you have time, take one of the river tours, and learn the history of the city.

I will be in Chicago next week, and there is so much to do, and so little time.

   Have fun!

Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. I've been researching some nice Jazz and dance clubs to hang out at.

When you are in Chicago or the burbs check out Lou Malnatis, Gino's East, or Giordano's.  They all have awesome Chicago pizza.

The other guy is right O'Hare is a decent area, but so is the Oak Brook or Lombard area.  Schaumburg can also be nice.

NY pizza is way better than Chicago for the most part. We have other good stuff though. I don't know if you like soul food but this place is excellent

I've worked here for a while now, and I'd be happy to help you get some of the basics down. I enjoy helping ladies, and have a lot of ladies that I mentor and help with learning all the ropes. Chicago is a great city, and I'm sure you'll do well here.
