Las Vegas

I know what you mean. I went to an Oakland Raiders home game last fall...

...when my home team played them. The fans were rude and mean to the visiting team fans throwing verbal insults, name calling and flippin' the bird at them. When Adrian Peterson scored a touchdown and slid down to his knees and threw up his arms in the end zone on my end, the Raiders fans pelted the end zone with dozens of beer glasses and aluminum beer cans. I sat amongst a close knit group of season ticket holders who were all family & friends and knew each other. This was near the Black Hole. I kept my fan allegiance incognito until the very end. I know for sure I saw the two characters on the left and right and likely the dude in the middle, too.

Each football season I travel to see my team play an away game or two so I can say from experience that at most stadiums the rival fans aren't purposely made to feel uncomfortable. I do think it would be cool for Vegas to have an NFL team and it'll be interesting to watch this develop.

Looks like we are going to get the Raiders! Las Vegas Raiders! Won't be until 2019 but I'm saving for season tickets now.

I live through that scene when they were in LA, careful what you wish for. Hide the women and children and ladies, count your money FIRST!

That was when they played at the old veterans stadium where they had "eagles court". That place was a real dump in its later days. During halftime guys would get tired of waiting in line to use the bathroom so you would see many just urinating in the sinks. Then the 700 level which was the upper section of seats was as war zone, showing up there wearing the opposing teams jersey was an invitation for a UFC style ass beating. But now its a lot tamer in Lincoln Financial Field (The Linc). Much more present security in the stands and with the personal seat license they charged all season ticket holders they weeded out a lot of the rough crowd just showing up to get insanely wasted and cause problems. I seen people last season escorted out of the stands for cursing one too many times before it escalates into a bigger problem. Out in the parking lot especially after a loss is a whole different story. No security what so ever and crazy unorganized traffic trying to get out of the lot has started many of fist fights and etc. That's why I take the train if I go to a game now, not worth the headache.

While in LA, a Steeler fan was actually killed at a home game.....so this is what you want?

I'm from NJ originally and remember what Nico is talking about and its true. Anytime during an Eagles (or Phillies) game if anyone was being rude/disruptive during a game there, security would haul them off. There was an on-duty judge there who would enforce the jail sentences.  Yet, these are some of the same fans that threw snowballs at Santa Claus on the football field when he appeared plus they cheered when Michael Irvin was injured during a game there. Yep, some of the Eagles fans are vicious. As much as I'd love to see a NFL team in vegas, i get the feeling it may not be a good idea overall even if Vegas revenues overall would increase because of such.
