You know, I usually avoid chain restaurants, but I love the Capital Grille on I-Drive, too! I almost always have the exact same meal:  steak tartare, a gorgeous, medium rare Delmonico, with a side of Parmesan truffle fries, and a Bohemian champagne cocktail... or 2 ;)

There's nothing I enjoy more than when a client books a 4 hour dinner date.  I'm a true foodie (yes, I know, I hate that word too) and for me, a good meal is akin to fantastic foreplay.

Hobbyists, providers-- What are your favorite spots to enjoy a dinner date here in Orlando?

I'll get the ball rolling: I love Norman's or Highball & Harvest at the Ritz-Carlton;  The Boheme at the Grand Bohemian, Luma on Park in Winter Park; The Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria; Eddie V's in Dr. Phillips... I could do this all day!  Next place I'm dying to try?  Capa at the Four Seasons.

my favorite spot is no longer around.. If i go out to dinner its normally with family.. And we do those hole in the wall places.. great food but not the nices looking places.. i'm always shocked how those diners don't get more bizz.. with how good there food is

But aren't you kind of glad they don't?  Sometimes too much traffic can ruin a perfectly wonderful hole in the wall lol.

I think we ate there 4 times over a 12 day stay when I was last in Disney with family. It's off the main road where all the condos are... you guys know it, but can't remember it ha ha ha.

I had a fantastic diner with a lovely lady at the Capital Grill on international. Great food and even better company. Diner dates are a fantastic way to get to know somebody.

Any ladies like a guy who just likes to hang out? Movies, theatre, checking out new books at Barnes and Noble?

That there are. You just have to ask. This is a dream date. I can not afford these places either. Once every two or three  years I like to book a date with a redicously beautiful lady and dine at a ridiculously priced restaurant. Since Ava brought it up it is getting about that time.

And now you have a message board full of ladies who would probably love to join you! You're welcome ;)

...yummy!  I typically enjoy visiting independent local restaurants and not a huge fan of chain restaurants. BUT, I must say, Capital Grill is an exception to this. I love Capital Grill. Charley's is amazing for steak and signature cocktails as well when I am in Orlando. Typically it's a coin toss between the two.

I've been going to Charleys for 20 years (the one in Kissimee) and they always have the best steaks. I always go there before meeting or sometimes with my go-to girl in Orlando. Makes for a wonderful night. :)

...I try to enjoy dinner there whenever I visit Orlando.

Norman is one of the finest chefs in the US, great food and wonderful atmosphere.  I have eaten here and in his former location in Coral Gables.
