I see alot of providers require you to give them a work address and work phone number... what if you are self-employed?

My work number is my number.

...just explain that to them and let them offer some other alternative.  Unless you're really uncomfortable with what they're asking you to provide, don't balk at it.  They're not out to get you, rather they're trying to ensure their own safety.

Reputable provider references are good, or photo ID, pay stub, "getting comfortable" before she does, seeing her at her incall first, etc.  Try asking her what else you can do to verify.

It sounds like she just wants some assurance that you are not LE.  Other providers want to know what type of guy you are, and that's a bit more complicated.

As mentioned already, there are so many avenues available for an established provider to verify and screen you that I can state with some confidence that you can probably be screened provided you have been with your employment over a year.

I don't ask for your employment so that I can call and make everyone aware of what you are doing with your free time......

I incorporate your employment into screening to help me establish a level of comfort that will give me the confidence to set up a meeting.....

In my particular case, although I never break the law...... I have been advised by my attorney that there can possibly be a few individuals connected with local. state, county or federal agencies that might misunderstand what I do.

Should any of this L/E cite me with a ticket for violation of federal, state, county or city ordinances then it would take between 4 and 6 weeks to clear me of such a citation. For that reason and that reason alone, I do not associate with law enforcement. That is why I prefer to know about your employment.

When I meet a new friend that understands when a specific part of the screening is out of the norm, such as employment..... and he tries to make it easier by being more open minded with verification, it always gives me an impression up front that this particular gentleman understands my concern for safety and the meeting has always been wonderful.

Maybe I am jaded, but when a gentleman understands my concerns about my personal well being and his behavior demonstrates that.... it just always makes for a great foundation for a wonderful friendship......

Happy Hobbying........ know your provider (*and her reputation*)    kisses....... ~Tori
