Actually, these tidbits are also from having been to AVN twice, AdultCon twice and now Exxxotica 2015 this year. The shows can be a blast but like anything else in life, they have their upsides and downsides, most emphatically having a clear ebb and flow over the course of a weekend. This is part of what I've taken from my experiences at them.
Be Part of the Show.
Obviously, this is starts off setting the bar kinda high but I've been to the shows as an exhibitor and one time, not. That first time was still fun (probably since Venus took an hour off from her autographing to take me around and introduce me to a bunch of people) but it was not the same as actually being behind one of the booths, especially if you've lined up talent to help push your wares, whatever they may be. An added benefit is you can actually get business out of the deal, I have, especially in the shows in LA. It also cracks me up that you can write the whole expense off as an above-the-line deduction if it's connected to a business!
Let the Good Stuff Come to You.
I can assure you that after a couple of days being surrounded by half-naked beautiful women can get you pretty worked up, chaffing at the bit to fuck. Remember that all good things come to those who wait. We had set something up with a young hottie on Saturday that I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, that fell through. Well, rather than scramble for someone else, I took a deep breath and said, let's see what the morrow brings.
Well, what happened the next night was extraordinary. We invited one of the newer girls to our hotel suite in Manhattan since she had a falling out with her peeps. After spending some time getting to know each other (one of the things she told us was that she was 90% lesbian), my companion says, "Do you vant to lick my poosy, darling? Then he'll lick yours, he's ve best!" Phenomenal doesn't even begin to cover what happened over the next hour or so. The best memento is the video clip of the young lady taking a phone call from her boyfriend: "OMG, I'm getting my pussy eaten by a gorgeous woman!" He wanted her to FaceTime it. Anyhoo, besides the photo and video ops, the participatory aspect was amazing.
Don't Be a Dick.
Of course, for most of us, none of the above is going to happen (especially without a fee) if you are an asshole. My mother always told me, "Treat every woman like a lady, even if she's not." If she had any idea how well that would work at a strip club or porn convention, she might have kept the thought to herself. Anyhoo, maybe you're one of those guys who's good looking enough to be a jerk and still get laid but for the rest of us, being cool seems a much better way to go. I've found that being a gentlemen and doing some little things ("Hey, I'm going to the concession stand, you need anything? Red Bull, that's a shocker. No problem") goes a long way towards developing a rapport.
Don't Lead With "Hey, How Much to Suck My Dick?"
There is no question that a number of the girls are doing privates while these shows are going on but unless you have been introduced to them in a way so that they are truly comfortable with you, you will almost assuredly get shut down hard if you ask about it. The girls are hyper about their security, both in terms of LE and, as you might imagine, there are always some pretty serious creepers at the shows. If you do decide to ask, do it as privately and discreetly as possible. Also remember that they usually have other obligations so if it is going to happen, be very prepared to be as flexible as possible regarding the "when."
Go On Saturday.
If you go as a visitor, (which I recommend at least once, the good shows are worth it), go on Saturday afternoon. The first day everyone is still getting their shit together, lots of girls get there late or not at all so it's just not as good. Sunday, the other way around, lots of girls leave early and the energy is way down. Saturday everyone who is going to be there is there, the energy is at it's highest and the girls seem the most into it. Of course, that's the busiest day as well, which is part the reason it's better. The girls usually love being the center of attention and the more attention they get, the more turned on they seem to get. For all those reasons, I would also advise against the three-day pass, one good day will be plenty.
Katie Morgan is a Doll.
I knew the name before the show but didn't know what a big deal she was until my nephew clued me in. ("What, you're hanging out with Katie Morgan?!? Fuck you!") I did indeed get to hang out with her more than a little bit and she is a total sweetheart. Very chill, down-to-earth, really smart and easy to talk to. Getting to be buds with her is clearly the second best thing that happened this weekend. (I took a picture of her, Alana and Nikita at 3:30 Friday morning that is a true classic and clearly tells a thousand words). We will definitely be looking her up the next time we're in Vegas. And sorry, I have no idea as to whether she provides, it didn't come up, in no small part because it would be cost prohibitive for me. That said, I would tend to doubt it and if so, really, really UTR.
That's a broad brush of my experiences, as you might imagine, there's more to it but the key thought here is if you can work things out to be there as part of the show, it is a real kick in the ass.
So if I boil down your post into one paragraph -
I go to a bunch of porn conventions and it costs me very little because I expense it all (we should assume you are high tax bracket individual). I stay with Nikita Denise so I get great sex and benefits such as a threesome with a young porn star. Now, if you guys just act polite and behave you might get a porn star to actually be friendly and converse with you. Of course, you will be horny as shit since the porn babes are half-dressed but privates are tough to arrange. And, finally, conventions like this take your mind off world events like the terror attacks in Paris because the porn babes think ISIS is just another reality TV show.
I don't go as an exhibitor - I go as a fan and I don't party much but a lot of what you say is correct. The biggest tips I have for anyone attending these shows and some general comments:
- Don't talk about privates openly. Be discreet. There was a photo booth there and several girls were doing pictures with guys for $30 in the booth that were printed out on demand as high quality pictures which they could then autograph. I went in there with a porn star who happens to also be a well-known New York escort (under a different name) and talked with her in the booth about getting together for a private meeting. There are many ways to approach the subject, but asking openly if they escort, or provide, or similar language will get you shut down immediately and you will probably blow any chance you have with them. This is especially true in Edison where the Expo is held in NJ because there are cops wandering the show floor, some in uniform, some not.
- Don't be a dick, be a gentleman. It goes a long, long way toward getting dates, with any woman. You'd be surprised how far getting a water for someone, or a slice of pizza or even watching their table while they hit the bathroom goes... of course they have to trust you some first. And that happens over time so don't expect it to work the first time. But being nice and polite goes a long way.
- Connections help. I was standing on line on Saturday waiting to talk to one of the girls represented by TLC when I spied Adonia standing nearby. I waved to her, and then looked back at the girl who saw the exchange. That confirmed that I was friends with Adonia, which I had told the girl on Friday... so she was more comfortable talking with me after that.
- Katie Morgan has to be one of the nicest ladies I've ever met at one of these conventions. As I said elsewhere, she truly gets it. If she ever decides to provide, you'll find me on that line... and I'm jealous of corwin for being able to hang out with her outside of the show.
- Every year, a number of the girls advertised on the site don't show up. It's a fact of life.
- Wear earplugs while you're walking around. I don't know why but every one from the main show to various booths that are running music blast the music at decibel levels that are off the scale (pun intended).
- Drink water. Drink water. Drink water. Drink water. Did I mention, drink water? It's very easy to get dehydrated at these shows. It doesn't matter what you're doing there - exhibiting, being a fan, attending the lectures, whatever, it gets pretty hot and dry. Drink water.
One of the things I disagree with though is to only go Saturday. I have gone to Exxxotica every year on Friday night and I manage to get most of my pictures and photos then so I can spend Saturday enjoying other things at the convention - the lectures, the stage shows, etc. By Saturday, I also know how much money I have left so I know how many DVDs I can buy, or whatever. Plus a lot of the girls are available on Saturday morning so in previous years I've managed to make dates on Friday night for Saturday morning. I also find that the girls are friendlier on Saturday because you've already broken the ice with them the night before. I guess this is one of those things where YMMV.
All in all I had a good time, and made a few connections. I'm not going to give away all my secrets and tricks though. 
I was there Sunday afternoon. The booths were well manned, er womened, and the crowd was light. Saw and talked with a number of my favorites and was up close for the bdsm demonstration. BTW, anyone know the name of the African American girl being played with?
