There are a large number of hotels along or near Route 1 that are in Peabody.
I was told that no one got in trouble just some girls were warned to get out after housekeeper saw the flow of men going in and out.Police asked a John what was the name of the person in that room and he didn't know but was smart enough not to be intimidated.The girl(s) left the hotel..

Rt 1 has many nice hotels and Peabody is usually safe. Unfortunately the problem is this, with girls leaving agencies to go Indy combined with the agencies that replace those girls and suddenly you literally can have 5-6 girls working is the same spot. Add back page and a traveler and it's now a brothel.
Maids are nosy and paid pretty poorly. Police in Peabody are well aware of the activity and IMHO only show up when they are called upon so I'd really not classify that as a sting.
I cannot say how many times the fuckin maids cart is in my general vicinity every time I hobby I honestly feel cursed sometimes like its a practical joke being played on me.
I know a stupid provider that got trespassed because she was rude and belittling to a maid and too cheap to tip her.
Mostly it's just poor timing and bad luck that causes these thing.

Burlington has had many shake downs telling girls to leave etc as well . The sad part is when the agency sends other girls back to the same hotel the next day. .
Peabody has a "human trafficking unit". Doesn't sound like yesterday had anything to do with that unit ( ie maid/hotel notified vs sting) but they do have a specific unit. This past February it was in the newspaper almost 2 dozen men etc..... from a scheduled sting. Maybe not the best place with an in state ID. If the hotel called once they will call again..... be careful out there!

I grew up there and remember watching a TV news story that headlined... "The Combat Zone has moved out of Boston & into Peabody" The Hey Day was back in the late 70's, early 80's. But Rte 1 was LOADED with strip clubs, massage parlors and pay by the hour motels. It was a Beehive of sex activity. There was a even TS/TV cross dresser club called The Green Apple back then. The 70' tall Mr Peanut sign....think it was called The Dollar Bar?? In the 80's Mayor Torrigian cracked it down and the owner of The Golden Banana (F. DiBella) fought it all the way to the US Supreme Court under a Freedom of Expression defense that allowed only the Banana & The Cabaret to stay in business as strip clubs w/ full nudity. The rest of it was wiped out. There was a whole legal shit show when he sold it, but that's another story.
Since then, there are a ton of hotels built along that stretch from Saugus to Danvers. Easy access and a good path for the NH construction working retreaters. I know Red Roof in Saugus cooperates w/ LE as do some of the others. It's a city of close to 60,000 people so I don't buy the "sleepy Po Dunk" thing, but as a previous poster mentioned.....if they have a sex unit then be careful....because they have a history and don't want to repeat it. I would also argue, any PD w/ a sex unit is not "Po Dunk".
