Thank you for the most intelligent thought provoking comments I have seen on this site in a while. We are all hobbiest but we are also human beings. Judging y some comments some more then others.

We are saying it should NOT be that way, as the two have nothing to do with one another. I fully agree that sex trafficking is used as a reason to bust some single mom, who is not doing drugs and putting her way through school doing this by choice... don't think anyone said otherwise. What we said was it's pathetic to care more about your dumb fkin hobby than children who are being abused. Not' you' in the literal sense, but you get my meaning. If I have to take a hit to save some 10 year old from being raped on a daily basis, so fkin be it. You choose to be here, as do we.

The legislature just passed a law to punish hobbyists more in Florida as they battle a ware against human trafficking.  It seems that arrests will start to increase soon.  Our cars will be at risk of being impounded, we'll be facing mandatory jail time on a second offense.

All I can say is FU to the human traffickers who are ruining this hobby for those who respect the women and only want to be with women consensually.

was given the choice of 10,000 in fines or move out of town... this was in Destin. She moved.

It's this faux war against so called human trafficking that is the problem.

Don't say Fuck you to the people arrested for human trafficking as 90% of them will be consenting adults, say Fuck you to the politicians, news media, and others who use this false war for their own agenda.

Well said, Gambler. It amazes me that just to make a nut a bit easier, some people want to forget how many children are being exploited. Trafficking and the hobby are two different things, and one will never reduce the other.

It's a trumped up 'crisis' that lines the pockets of the Rescue Industry.

It was interesting to read the recent NYT piece about the deplorable working conditions of nail salon workers. It's horrible and involves a lot of trafficking but they don't even use the term trafficking with this.

Americans are puritans but they are titilated by the idea of sex slaves and evil traffickers.

Hookers reduce sex crimes by making sex available lol. Rape is not about sex... it is about power and control so anyone having to pay for it loses all power. Duh...

And also agree..there are a lot more women being coerced and taken advantage of stalked than people like to think.  A lot by their boyfriends/"pimps"/people who live off them and who escorts do not wish to support.

Agree that sex trafficking is an excuse to arrest people who have done nothing wrong and do not defend the women that are exploited anyway.  Mainly because they need to pay for their operations and the "little guy" person being exploited has none.  Same everywhere.

Bottom line, be wary of back channel stuff that seems to invade the privacy of women or that perpetuates an agenda.  I know a lot of guys do not like to see women that they know give their money away or have mooch boyfriends.

You guys are here to have a good time.  You are not obligated to search every corner to see if something is morally correct.  Just, when you see something blatant, avoid it and don't participate in harassing providers.

comes into play ONLY if the car is used in the solicitation-and you really have to be a moron to solicit a street walker-Stick to TER and your wheels are safe-    1rob..an attorney in another life..out

Counselor, please read the bill before you give bad advise.  The bill provides for impounding or immobilizing of "a vehicle [used] in the course of the violation."  It does not distinguish - nor would a court - that the solicitation occur in the car.  A defendant would be hard pressed to argue that driving to the location for sex for $ was did not constitute use of the vehicle in the course of the violation.  Just as using a drug dealer using a car to get to a deal or a bank robber using one to drive to and from a bank would have used their vehicle in the course of their crime.  After all, the john needs to get to the sting to be stung or to the girl to get some.

As to those who think that human trafficking is not the motivation behind these heightened penalties (and soon to be more aggressive enforcement), look no further than the bill's title "An act relating to human trafficking."  While, yes, statistically most human trafficking in Florida has nothing to do with this hobby - but is agricultural or domestic labor - the truth is that the existence of sex trafficking (whether one believes it is rampant or de minimis) is being used as the justification to step-up penalties and enforcement.

Be wary, my friends... be wary.  And, I stand by my original comment FU human traffickers for making this hobby more risky for us.

Here is the bill if anyone wants to read it: http://flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2015/0465/BillText/er/PDF

all you have to do is be busted soliciting and if you drove there and have an out of state tag, you're not getting your shit back any time soon.

I'd rather have security raised than human traffickers getting away with their crimes.  Its kind of akin to what we go through at the airports now vs. 15 years ago.  Better safe than sorry!

I hate to deflate your balloon. But, human trafficking has been going on since the beginning of time. Just like the war on drugs, the war on trafficking is a waste of time, resources, and money. How many human traffickers have they arrested and jailed? How many children have been saved? Practically none. Unfortunately, our legal system does not allow for doing much against the traffickers. You have to have witnesses and the traffickers have rights just like all other citizens. No witnesses, no arrests. But yet, that same legal system will arrest and jail the provider and the John with no witnesses. I think our legal system has the priorities all backwards. There is little to no human trafficking in Singapore. That is because the police simply arrest and jail anyone who is suspected of trafficking, witnesses or not. Then they execute them in short order. Same for drug offenses. The US will never adopt those policies and, because of that, trafficking will continue forever. If they put every prostitute out of business tomorrow there would still be as many human traffickers because they would find other ways to make money off their slaves.
