how long would you guys suggest should a person allow after a wax before scheduling a date?

Well I am new to this hobby, only had one prior encounter  in Marrakesh that did not go so well (it was unplanned - she approached me in a bar). I have a lot of chest hair and the provider suggested that I wax my chest next time.

So tomorrow I have my second appointment ever with a different provider here in the US. I waxed my chest last weekend but unfortunately developed a reaction - a mild rash about the size of a hand. I really don't know what to do about tomorrow's appointment. Should I:

1. Cancel and wait until it goes away
2. Go ahead with it and explain the situation to her upon arrival - Perhaps suggest I keep my shirt on for the duration of the appointment.

DUDE !  Sorry but I have to laugh

I was self-conscious about back hair so I had my back and shoulders waxed in anticipation of my first time with a provider. The waxing stung but I got over that quickly. The problem was that my back started itching and little bumps started showing up. I went ahead with the date and I didn't itch while I was with her (mind on other things).

While we want to be pleasing to the ladies and general grooming and hygiene is always a good move, she shouldn't be expecting Prince Charming every time. Unless you think the rash is somehow contageous or unhealthy, I think you ought to proceed. If you really think it will be a turnoff, contact her first and ask her.

I have my back and shoulders waxed which makes for nice massages. But my chest is hairier than a monkey's but the few providers who have commented on it have said they like it.  Maybe they are animal lovers!

It's probably a good idea to wax if she likes to kiss your chest.  Otherwise, just put some 100% aloe vera gel on it and take some to your date for her to rub on you and you should be fine.

Tell her before the appt about your "funny story". you can share a laugh and she won't be surprised when she sees it.

...ask her if she's seen the movie "The 40-Year Old Virgin"?  Tell her you've obviously not seen it, because if you had you'd never had gotten waxed in the first place.  Even if she's not seen the movie, she'll laugh with you and not at you.

Thought I'd follow up with you guys and let you know what happened. This post didn't go up in time to see your responses before I went (Wasn't about to check it at work). In any case, after I met her I told her about it, and soflaguy had the right idea. She laughed and relayed to me her waxing horror stories - It was the perfect ice breaker. She said it didn't look bad at all and genuinely appreciated me going the extra mile like that. I almost felt silly for worrying about it to begin with. She urged me to take my shirt off and not worry about it. The session was amazing, she made no effort to avoid my chest at all. She even gave me a bottle of cocoa butter and said that daily applications should make it go away.
