Well i got my leave booked and cash ready :)

i have some questions

The dates are 20 to 23 Jan 2016 right ?

And the events are the actual Adult Video Awards night and the Adult Entertainment expo ?

There are no other events ?

How much in advance would i need to book to get tickets to the expo ? I don't think i want to actually go to the awards night (not sure if its open to the general public anyway)

Is this time in vegas generally a busy or quiet time of the year ?

Yes those are the correct dates and those are the primary events related to AVN. As to other events, many of the girls there do feature dance, host parties, do interview, do scenes and/or webcam while there. The Expo tickets usually go on sale around June or July and the prices increase for such in mid-December so I tend to get them before the price increases. I'd skip the award show, I got bored the pone time I went to it years ago and left before it ended (some of my PS friends that have gone to it dont like to for the same reason)plus the food was blah @ best. It is open to the general public but the lower priced tickets for the award show are like $300 each plus you'll be sitting way in the back.  AVNs occurs the week after CES so its still busy in Vegas then.

even the most expensive packages is only 450 so i would get that no problem

Gives you access to official parties and private suite parties

Are these parties any good ?

I assume all of the best parties are not part of these and are invite only for industry only. They don't want any fans there.

I may be completely off the mark, but since you mentioned leave, I wonder if you're military.  Reason I mention it is back when I went to my first AVN awards, I was just back from the desert.  I really was just calling for info on tickets.  Got to talking with some chick who had some juice as far as tickets and accesses, etc.  I don't remember the price we paid, but, I had full access to the Expo all three days, plus award show tickets close to the front with nominees, and invites to two after parties.  Besides banging the girl who hooked it all up, I met all my favorite PSs.  I hadn't discovered that these girls were available but had an awesome time.  There were other military guys at our (me and two buddies') table, so there might be specials for military!  Worth the ask.
