We’ll go over some myths, and straighten from fact & fiction

 
1. Dominants are invulnerable.  

It is true that we are strong, as observed and pointed out by others, but at the same time, we also need to put our shields down, and just rest. Show our ‘softness’, ‘weaknesses’, etc.  We’re human, just like any other

2. We know it all

We are generally wise, but like the rest we learn from trial & error as we go. There is always so much more to be learned

3. We love being in charge. Total Control

We are naturals at offering guidance & support with those who wish it from us. It is never forced. If you feel force is required, it is because you are weak and others cannot sense your inner strength, therefore you try to ‘prove’ your strength by external means. Bullying, etc

4. We crave total submission from our partner

Actually, there is nothing that repels us more than a weakling with no direction of his own. You should have your own path, we are simply here to guide you. We gain pleasure from that. We also need to feel appreciated and your gratitude for this. Show us you care, and the more we’ll be pleased

5. A dominant cannot be in a relationship with another  

There are different levels of dominance. Every Master has a master, etc. So, yes a more experienced dominant can find it rewarding to have another to guide him/her

6. We make you feel like you’re a sex toy

Haha, kinda hard to argue against this one. There is a lot of truth here, but much more, the longer and deeper we become, the more of a possession you become to us - we simply own you

7. We expect you to worship us

We expect you to acknowledge us. In all our glory. But …  we also wish to admire you, in all your beauty

8. Dominants Love to Receive; Not Give, or vice versa

We derive pleasure from giving you pleasure, we also love to teach you how to give us pleasure

9. We see you as inferior

We see you as an equal (and expect) you to make an equal contribution  

10. We are very demanding

The more experienced of us have a keen understanding of your psyche, and know when it is time to slow down or speed things up. It is true we are relentless, as it is our deepest desire to take you to your fullest potential. Let us take you  

 
Confession: Though we are proud and honored to have earned the privilege of being a Master, sometimes it feels, as if we’re not good/strong enough to take care of our charges. Taking on a guiding & supportive role in someone’s life is a real responsibility. Sometimes we excel, other times it feel as if we fail
