Like Corwin said, as long as you do it politely and privately, it doesn't hurt to try. I've done it many times and some have said yes and some said no. Even the ones who said no, we're very polite about it. Remember, they are human beings also. i had one who was touring NYC and came down to see me in my home in South Jersey. I even picked her up at the train station and she stayed for 3 hrs even though I paid for one. She took me out to lunch before I took her back to the train station. We text back and forth all the time.

If you have the business email of a PS, would it be appropriate to email them directly about a private session? This person has reviews on TER, but the last review was posted in October 2014. She is also fairly new to the business and has gotten more popular since then. Thanks.

Especially if it is someone who has been reviewed here. October of last year isn't all that long ago so as to indicate she's no longer providing. What's the down side to a gentle inquiry? That she says no, right? If you ask and she says no, you're in no worse of a position than if you hadn't asked.  No guts, no glory my mother always said.

I've sent emails to some that post their booking on Twitter.   Most of the times I just get no response, some times it's a polite no.  A couple times they sent back a rate for what I inquired was a "date".  One rate I've gotten back has been very reasonable, almost to the point I wonder if it's just a literally date and no private time

Seems like practically anyone who is in the industry is available.  Many who say they aren't are under the radar.  Some who rant I believe its more about their issues and insecurities than yours.

I generally find its better to meet in person if you can if their not putting it out there.  Otherwise email and if the response is negative move on.
