I'm preferential to more old school Be-bop style. Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Art Blakey, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, and Dexter Gordon are some of my favorites. Unfortunately you won't find any of them at this year's Jazz Fest.

The group Four Play comes to mind. And get your head out the gutter, there really is a 4 man jazz group called Four Play.

I didn't even know Jazz Fest was this week. Duh. Now I need to do an overnight deal for Jazz Fest just to get a date lol.
I went years ago with a friend, and there was nothing like walking through Millennium Park to live Jazz.
