What a waste of time this was i've been before & seem to remember it being much bigger with a decent amount of relevant pornstars .You'd think LA could draw some decent talent for one of these shows like the one's i see going on back east.
Just look at the website and you can tell it was going to suck!

Having gone a few times before and finding it okay, I was GOING to go, but at the last minute decided NOT to. And after reading these posts I'm glad I DIDN'T go!
I have not been to AVN after it separated from the CES dates, but I personally got tired of the rope lines and celebrity they tried to push at the shows. Reminds me of the corny feature days.
Glad that's not around anymore.
The internet has created an entire category of D-level performers who consider themselves stars. They and their do-nothing BF overrun this show. Stopped attending years ago.
I agree the show has gone downhill. Having booths in the past, crowds have been getting thinner and thinner. fans get bored way to easy and fast cause the new girls tend to reject fans when in reality fans dont know who they are.

The problem is just like everything else in that when these conventions are just literally one after another, it then saturates the market and thus diminishes the product.
The adult scene is inundated with gimmicks as far as one convention after another --- and often times with half-ass "Award Shows" to go along with them in order to patronize the girls themselves into then promoting the damn thing.
As it's Exxxotica, then AVN, then XBiz, then AdultCon, etc, month after month after month. And the redundancy parlays (no pun intended) into deflating any and all anticipation and excitement.
Any interest in conventions (from porn stars as well as fans) takes a precipitous plunge after AVN. As people (stars and fans) then get ready for summer activities and vacation time ... and nobody then really anticipates another porn convention until Exxxotica NJ in Nov.
