I see a number of posts on here with people asking for short notice dates.

There is a good phone APP  - designed for users seeking hotel rooms at short notice.. It finds rooms available for same day and up to only 7 days in advance.

I have used it a couple of times in Vegas and was able to book rooms that were cheaper than online rates.
