Actually, what they do have are the most restrictive gun laws!

"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good"  ~George Washington

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.”  ~Thomas Jefferson

Anywhere you care to look-whenever there are restricitions against the right of gun ownership, the incidence of gun related crime, death and violence will increase.  The more restrictive, the worse will be the violence as the gun-toting criminals become further emboldened by a larger choice of unarmed victims.

Happens every time.
Gun-control advocates tend to agree that nobody should be able to purchase high capacity magazines, or that online sale of ammunition should be banned and that trigger locks should be mandatory on all pistols but the evidence that disarming law-abiding citizens is a dismally failed policy is overwhelming.

Look at Chicago; which has some of the most restrictive laws against gun ownership also has one of the highest rates of slaughter of innocents.  This violence has so dramatically increased recently that Mayor Rahm "Never Let A Good Crisis Go To Waste" Emmanuel has embarked upon his second career as a stand-up comedian by exhorting Chicago's criminals to fall back upon their moral values.  The Washington Post, in an article about D.C.'s very restrictive laws wrote, the disarming of local residents has been ineffective, noting that the “guns kept coming, and bodies kept falling.”

This is a report about what is happening in Australia, which completely banned personal firearms ownership in 1997 (as a responce to a public massacre).   While Australia’s politician promised a lower crime rate once the ban was in place, the disarming of its citizens has led to exactly the opposite effect.

What have been the results of the Australian ban?

   Armed Robberies are UP 69%

Assaults Involving Guns are UP 28%

   Gun Murders are UP 19%

Home Invasions – a crime for which Australia didn’t even have laws before the gun ban because it never happened – are UP 21%

Australian criminals are more empowered than before when they see statistics like armed robberies being up 69% or murders being up 21%, because they know the people are basicallly unarmed sheep.
