As a traveling lady, I often plan my trips a couple months in advance. If I know someone is coming to town that I am interested in meeting, I will schedule around that date. As long as you drop a note a week or two in advance to confirm, you should not have a problem with responsible ladies. I often book gentleman 2-3 months in advance. This also gives you more time to seek an alternative in case your first choice is unavailable.
I tend to be an over organized sort - once a trip is planed (even three months in advance), I start working to figure out who to visit. I try to contain myself and wait until relatively close to the date, but what does the rest of the community think is reasonable?
A month? 2 weeks? 1 week? 2 or 3 days?

you are looking at some of the more popular providers where you are going. I have read posts indicating the arrangements were made quite a ways ahead of time. If you do this, it wouldn't hurt to keep in touch maybe once a week or so, which lets her know you are serious, very important to her.
Even with my local dates, I usually set them up about a week in advance. I don't see many touring gals, they are usually out of my budget range.

and a big event is happening, i.e. Super Bowl, Final 4, Daytona 500, etc., then book several weeks if not a month or more in advance.
If the area is not hosting a big event but you only have limited availability due to work, conference, whatever, then book well in advance as well. If you have several days/nights in which you can P4P, then I would book at least 2-3 weeks ahead, especially if you want to see one of the more popular ladies in the area. Remember, some ladies only do this part-time so that limits their schedule.
gents book well in advance. I've had guys book up to six months ahead. As long as he stays in touch with me (once a week is good, unless it is 6 months, in which case every month until the last month when it should be once a week). I love the getting-to-know you phase via email, and truly can't wait to meet someone once we've been in touch this way. By the time we meet, it's like reuniting with a good friend and hot lover. I know some ladies don't like to email back and forth too much, but that's not the case with me.

I like it when they book asap. but then contact me again 2-3wks be4 hand to double check.
I have had providers not respond to my p411 requests at all. Others have, we communicate throughout, then when I confirm the day before I never hear from them. I am going through this right now. Trying to set something up next week and waiting for 2 ladies to respond.

I'm a pre-planner too! I like having my life a tad organized. HOWEVER, that said I like the last minute dates too. I've met many fabulous people because one of my favorite mottos is "It never hurts to ask".
Many ladies do like gentlemen to plan ahead, a bit. Plus, you do get a chance at being a bit selective with more opportunities. The closer you get to a certain date ladies can be booked up.
I've had dates 6 months in advance.
