Beware if you park in the Downtown Grand self-parking garage there is a cost 0-2hrs is $6 and goes up from there depending on how long you are parked.
What was weird when I got ready to leave the garage there is no attendant and you can only pay to get out of the garage with your credit card or debit card.
There was a cash option mentioned I just could not figure it out.Just used my card.Also when inside the hotel I asked about validating the parking ticket and was told I have to have a players card with a certain amount of points.I usually valet when I am on the strip or even downtown and usually have no issue but just fyi for anyone stays at the Downtown Grand.There is also a fee for their valet.
But the parking garages or valet you can't go wrong.

I'll have a car on my next trip to Vegas and I was wondering how difficult it is to find parking in the downtown area. I don't mind walking a ways.
...just park, take stairs or elevator to ground floor, walk thru glass doors on you're on Fremont Street Experience and the major casinos and stuff.

If I am staying or visiting a certain property I usually valet my car. I find that to be the easiest thing to do myself. There is a public parking garage as well that charges a small fee. Here is a link that might help you! Let me know If you want any company while you are here in Vegas!
I always use the valet parking at Main Street Station, even when I'm not staying at their property. At their main lot next to their hotel/casino, there's no extra charge ...just tip the valet a couple of bucks.

Trying to parking on the street downtown can be tricky at times depending on the time of the day.
But the parking garages or valet you can't go wrong.
