Yeah, it definitely spoils it when you know she definitely has a preference for girls over the boys. Honestly, it's the same as hearing your ATF has a boyfriend or husband... the chemistry might be there, but there's always something in the back of your head that just won't go away.  

I think you made the best decision. If her reviews are good, that just means she's a good actress. But since you know she definitely has a thing for girls, then it's gonna nag you for the whole date. When you pick her replacement, check if she has good reviews, watch some of her movies (if she's a pornstar), and just leave it at that... perhaps these are those moments when ignorance is bliss.
