Works wonders as you get into your 60s

As I get older, I find it more and more difficult to get quality erections. I'm sure diet and exercise and all that contribute.

My question is, if you have a date coming up where you want to be at your best.....is it better to lay off for a few days before? Does it make a difference if in the days before you get hard but don't cum ?  I used to think it was better to masturbate the day before to last longer......but now it seems if I do that, I can only get semi-hard at game time.

Thanks

Dear Traveling Salesman,

It depends entirely on your personal physiology. Some men do better with  masturbation prior to the event, while others don't touch themselves a few days before and end up having better erections and higher quality orgasms (also individual). Hence, don't masturbate a few days before a sexual encounter and see if it helps.

Good luck,

Just a thought, but couldn't you test this out with self induced manual stimulation?  Try waiting a few days then try going for it, see if it helps any?

Amen to that sister, hence the reason I said try it with manual stimulation.  If you can do it by hand, one would think it would be easier to do it with a warm, soft, moist, lovely woman helping you out.

At least, I find it easier to function that way, my hand is cold, torn, rough, nasty piece of contractor flesh.  Not exactly the same tactile sensations! (but hey, maybe that's what women want in a man's hand, who knows...something proving they work for a living, they don't read books and eat bonbons all day, right?)

Eh, I think my bit of advice stands...it cannot hurt to try, right?

...title character did in "Portnoy's Complaint."  Then have your wife serve it for dinner (also in the book). Ah, the classics!

had a session with probably the most beautiful provider I've ever had the priviledge of seeing (at least in the top 2). She's 5'11".....natural D cups....flat stomach.....beautiful ass.....30 years old....you get the picture.

She was as accomadating as she could be and again only got about half erect. I just don't understand. I took 2 doses of my daily cialis. I just don't get it....I can get hard as a rock with my SO of 30 years (who by the way, is a great woman..just dull in the bedroom, she thinks oral is perverted,) can also get great erections watching porn on the computer when I'm on the road on business.

I don't think it's guilt. Why would that show after 10 years of successful hobbying ? Not sure if it's performance anxiety or what. I mean the provider I saw yesterday probably causing erections just walking down the street. She's that hot.

But this is getting very frustrating.....not to mention expensive without even getting hard.

Difficult to say, Traveling Salesman,

But I'd venture that unconscious performance anxiety is at the root of it all, in addition to possible meds - did you know that cholesterol medications can cause ED? And of course, natural aging has lots to do with it. If you were 18, you'd probably be able to screw anything and be fine. But the older the individual, the more reflective and also prone to anxiety - they don't send young men to fight wars for nothing. Evolutionary adaptations at their finest.

Next time, get someone less perfect that doesn't require so much mental adoration. Oftentimes, men report that the girl-next-door type causes a lot less anxiety than "the most beautiful provider" available.

How can a "great woman think oral is perverted" - wow, that's a tough one,
The Love Goddess

I've noticed that in the last 2-3 years, I have had a stretch of a month or two where the equipment just doesn't respond as well as I'd like. I have no idea why, but I've managed to snap back each time. Just watch the diet, drink plenty of healthy fluids the day of, and maybe think about changing your ed med from Cialis to vitamin V. Hang in there!

late fifties, taking viagra but even then cant maintain an erection.  Just went to the urologist, who took a bunch of blood tests and have to go back in a couple of weeks.  I've had a couple of 800 sessions go south cause of this, and have put things on hold while i get it checked out.  Have had performance anxiety issues in the past, but V has always helped with that.

I sympathize with you.

My dream has always been to f**k a provider.  Have been trying for 5 years.
