the Boston Marathon. I had an early dinner with 2 friends from Cary, NC who were there, one to run. It was a great trip, the city full of happy people. At my early dinner with my friends, I tried to see if I could extend my trip for an extra day and watch and hang out with the one friend who was waiting at the finish line to take pics of his GF as she crossed. No dice, the hotels were of course completely booked so I hugged them and wished them well. She crossed the finish line a little over 3 minutes before the first bomb went off so both of them were at the meet up tent.

When I turned on the TV the next day my heart sank and panic sank in. I had stayed in Back Bay.

I just want to say I have loved the people in and around Boston since the first time I visited. and I just love the city itself. There truly is no other city in the world like it.

I hope it's ok the say how very much I think about you, Boston today. I truly love you.
