Dang...I am just so not in the mood all the time. Bored...borring or just lame? what is going on with me?

I've always used agencies and have rarely dealt with cancellations in my hobbying life. I recently contacted two independents and both ended up cancelling on me.
1. I had an appt with E on a Friday that I made several days in advance. On thursday night I get an email saying she's not sure if she can see me because her sister is coming in from england and she's not sure she can get time away. I don't doubt her story, but it seems like if the sister is coming in from europe, this is something she knew well before I scheduled my appt.
2. I contacted K on a Friday night saying that I wanted to see her on Sat. We agree on a time, but she said that if I heard from her, the time might have to change but I was flexible. On Saturday I get a voicemail from K, parts were hard to understand and at points she sounded like she was slurring or "out of it," saying she was out "working" till 5AM and had only gotten three hours sleep. I could understand she'd be too tired to see me, but we had an appointment for 7:30PM, not 11 in the morning. Granted, she called me three hours before the appt but it was still disappointing. I returned her message (first a voicemail and then I got a hold of her before she returned the VM) and she apologized and hoped to make it up to me, though it sounded like she was at a party when i was talking to her. Anyway, on sunday night, more than 24 hours later, she leaves me a VM, returning my voicemail I left 24 hours earlier, and apologizes for not seeing me and hopes we can make it up. She seemed completely oblivious to the fact that I spoke to her the previous day. This girl always seemed a little flaky to me and being an east village (NYC) girl doesn't help.
So what do you think, should I bother to reschedule with either?

Ouch! Slurry phone calls and three hours of sleep!?! One day's notice from a visiting Transatlantic sister - maybe from the Red Sea once a month?!? [Sorry, couldn't resist being a little catty.] I am continually amazed at how unprofessional some providers can be. Yes, I understand, we're not dealing with a totally legitimate business per se, but my God, don't these women have to pay bills? Don't they have the slightest anxiety about running their own business? Egads.
Well, back to your situation. Unless you are absolutely mad for these creatures, I think you ought to ditch them and search TER for some other more dependable types. Now it would stand to reason that many younger providers, say the under-30 crowd, can be a little flaky. They almost NEED agencies to keep tabs on them. Being an independent is really like running your own one-woman show...and I dunno if a 20ish hot little vixen is mature or interested enough to do it long range. But the ones with stellar reviews in the 30-45 age range should be very solid and dependable. Usually they've got credit cards and mortgages to pay for. There is a reason why these women got to the top. They turn in great performances, they are personable, punctual and phantastic in bed. True professionals and deserving of every accolade there is...including repeat business!
It seems to me you're in NYC. There must be many exquisite Uptown ladies who could float anyone's boat. You may have to pay more than you originally planned, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the advice. I completely understand your point which is exactly why I was disappointed in both E and K. Both are listed on TER, both have over ten postive reviews (7 or higher) and both are not spring chicks (one's in her early 30's, the other in her late 30's). E seemed genuine but I wasn't sure it would even be worth it; she's only into fbsm, no fs. K has always seemed flaky to me. I just thought I'd get some advice before I decided against her.
Yeah I'm in NYC, which is why I got lucky. After K blew me off, I took a chance and called BelledeJour. Not only were they answering on a Saturday night, but I got to see Sissy which MORE than made up for my dissappointment.
