I first went to CR a year ago to join Gambler, returned last Feb. and stayed in Jaco until mid March. I'm returning at the end of next month for the rest of the winter. I'm far from knowing everything about it but am certainly not a noob. I've also known GaG for several years.

I give you props for going down there and playing the game. But I don't get why any American hooker would choose to do so to make money given that the going rate there only recently went above $100/hr. If you were there 4 years ago I'll bet it was only $75, especially at Sportsmen's. So I assume you were mainly there for fun and just picking up spare change on the side. I can imagine the Ticas were not welcoming of an American woman "taking their business." I'm surprised one of them didn't follow you into the Morazon at night and give you some spontaneous scarification.
Also, no one calls it "Costa." I've never hear anyone say that. I suggest you try "CR."

For any guy who is thinking to have some fun while in MIA, I would say "do it." I was in MIA for just a few days and had an amazing time. My plans got a little dicey as my trip was on and then cancel but lucky in the last minute it was back on.
Thank you to the ladies I saw. I must say I am very impressed with MIA. Reminds me of London.

I like Orlando but the family theme parks and the Polk / Osceola County Sheriffs don't really mix well with hobbying. I have heard some scary stories in hotels on International Drive.

I met dozens of guys down there and talked to lots of them about what they do in the states and learned a lot about their attitudes toward women. I really didn't experience any misogynists. Most guys come there for the beach, sport fishing and sport fucking. None of them seemed to hate American women. I certainly don't. I love American civvy women and American hookers even more. My favorites are of course in it for the money but they are also sexual adventurers and sexual delinquents. Just like me.

FWIW the ride to Jaco takes barely an hour now, and why would a high dollar hooker like you who was making five grand a week want to take the bus to Jaco, when even back before the new road was built it was still less than a hundred dollar cab ride?

Anyway, if you do decide to come it's not nearly as scary a ride as it used to be because they've built a new toll road with divided highway that runs most of the way. It now only takes 90 minutes to get there and all the best girls from San Jose commute.
But they don't go to the Beatle Bar any more. They go to the Cocal, which is right on the beach. It's a great scene. The Beetle Bar re-opened last winter but it only had a few low-end girls last I saw. Check with your pal Gambler for more recent info but I doubt he wastes his time there.
As for the opinions of most Costa Ricans about hookers I think you're over-stating the case. Yes, it's legal there and regulated. But there is still a stigma, which is why most girls don't use their real name.
